Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I've never seen it but personally don't believe that will alone can assert the changes we want to see in the world or in ourselves. Unless it's related to Twin Peaks in which case I am a firm believer.

I dreamed about watching another season last year, and when I woke up, just knew that it was going to come true. Delusional or faithful Twin Peaks fanatic?

Re: Parts 1 & 2 - My log has a message for you & The stars turn and a time presents itself (SPOILERS)

Supposed to be waiting to rewatch until a couple of friends can make the time -- they haven't seen it yet and are very excited. But I've been waiting for months, lost my willpower and watched the first two parts last night. I have to say, this is so different than what I remembered. It really remind...

Re: No Ray Wise?

Yep, I'm with mtwentz on this one. Jeffries was a footnote in the story, albeit a shockingly surreal and bizarre one. So this notion of holding onto Jeffries is not something that I can understand. Seems it was more about Bowie than anything else, which is fine, people have feelings and those feelin...

Re: No Ray Wise?

Yeah, that's understandable. Initially and for quite some time after the show ended, I shared your view. But at some point I had to wonder if wanting more of those characters was in fact the same yearning for nostalgia and warm comfort of familiarity that I was consciously attempting to stave off in...

Re: No Ray Wise?

I like to believe Chet was left out because the story didn't allow for another mystery agent gone lodgin'. Jeffries has that place. Frost indeed confirmed Chet was discussed. I seem to vaguely remember something about Isaak expressing interest in returning and even reaching out to Lynch. Can't seem...

Re: No Ray Wise?

I don't care if there's no story for Dick Tremayne, I don't even care if he actively gets in the way of the main storyline, bring him back god damnit. Yeah I don't think there was much story for Dick in S3, but at the very least they could've put his grinning face on some real estate yard signs in ...

Re: No Ray Wise?

I realize it's a Ray Wise thread, but I'll ask for the hell of it -- any chance you could shed some light (even a little vague light) on how it is Michael Ontkean wound up moving into the group of actors who declined to participate? He seemed to be on board, and then he wasn't. He had retired to Ha...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

Audrey was actually pretty damn good at undercover investigation. Can't always be perfect, especially not the first time. I mean, is Cooper a crappy FBI agent because of the mistakes he once made? In any case, regarding her sudden business interest, I got the distinct impression that she was playing...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

I'm with you on that and think she played it really well. Man, if only they'd focused on that more and dropped J.J. Wheeler. I just happened to be envisioning the season filmed a decade or so earlier, and pictured her roped into the Gordon and Albert outing. Audrey is who first came to mind back whe...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)

I just imagined a 90's Season 3 in which it would have been Audrey, having pursued her dreams of becoming an FBI agent, that accompanies Gordon and Albert. In this imagined series, the role of "Diane" would have been intertwined with hers, so that her past history with Dale is what propels...

Re: No Ray Wise?

Hello again peeps. I thought I'd pop in and noticed this thread. I can state unequivocally that the only contributing factor to Ray's extremely limited presence in The Return was David Lynch. -Mordeen This could imply that either a) Mark Frost had nothing to do with the decision or b) Mark Frost wa...

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread

Just pictured the next season of Twin Peaks filmed in black and white using 1940s equipment, with Deming and Badalamenti providing a classic film tone to complement. Cooper surreptitiously obtaining clues while getting a haircut at the barbershop, James and Big Ed engaging in sensational brawling wi...

Re: "A good coffee, he says..." (DL on coffee in The Guardian 15 Oct 2017)

"David Lynch claims his relationship with coffee began at the age of three. At one stage, the film-maker was drinking 20 cups a day; nowadays he averages 10, although the cup size has increased. A good coffee, he says, “should have no bitterness, and it should be smooth and rich in flavour. I ...
