Re: What Did Laura Whisper?

Life is but a dream with multiple variations of possibility that is finite and linear remaining unchanged. Alternate possibilities surrounding a given even can't be assessed while on the earthly plane. They no longer merely reside in a physical realm anymore so aren't bound by Time. Therefore, at th...

Re: Understanding When the Dream Began Can Explain Twin Peaks: The Return

I just posted this in "The Final Dossier Spoilers" forum pg.4 but think it's more appropriate for here in response to if S3 can be seen as an altered timeline where slight alterations occur due to Coop's attempt to save Laura in Episode 17 ( possibility being she still dies but perhaps sli...

Re: Final Dossier Spoilers

Hawk also mentions Leland killing Laura but not specifically when he found this out. There are a few continuity glitches throughout season 3 (telephone pole placement, FWWM encounter with Annie in dream happening after diary given away not before as Season 3 seems to imply, ect.). I think a case can...

Re: List of all the unsolved mysteries (SPOILERS)

by Mr. Strawberry Interesting theory, but would that mean that this is an alternate reality as well? Valero was created in 1980, yet Richard and Carrie make a stop at one of their service stations. It might seem trivial but surely there was a reason for having avoided any ambiguity in this regard. ...

Re: List of all the unsolved mysteries (SPOILERS)

What year is it? 1970. Laura: Concieved 1970 born 1971 died 1989 aged 18; would've been 43 25 years later in 2014. Cassie: 1945 Laura orb created by Fireman. Becomes 43 in 1970 (assuming 18 in 1945 then 43 1970; picking this over 1988 which full 43 yrs later) ; somebody after her she says as Coop vi...

That table looks very useful. I could use a table like that.

Only thing I don't like is reaching under the table to grab things. That bottle of wine's pretty far back there; gonna have to tilt a bit get it out without hitting the top.

Re: Calling all who think the original timeline is still intact

I think concrete answers will not be had but certainly some are more probably than others. Numerous possibilities of course could be going on here.

I think the original timeline is still intact.

Hindu belief structure on alternate realities that Lynch may've read up on?

Re: Cooper like Jeffries?

Good detective work. I thought the same thing about a week after the finale aired as sort of a what if season 4 never happens how can Cooper be imagined living out the rest of his life? He certainly blipped around after his dreamer face appeared at the Sherriff's station to give the impression he mi...

Re: Important JUDY Related Observation

I haven't been too invested in learning anything more about Judy as kind of felt like the next foreshadowed big bad after an unsatisfying payoff with Bob in episode 17. ( I made my case for what thought about this here here: http://www.dugpa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3808 ) Is Judy just a m...

Re: An apologia for Sarah

Natural Evolution of Character?: I agree with the OP on most accounts but the scene in the bar with her removing her face as well as what subsequently able to do afterwards is too much for me to re-interpret as simply symbolic. Is this a natural evolution of her character though? I'm inclined to sa...

Re: Candie, Mandie, and Sandie

FWWM we had Lil ( perhaps other French woman at Hap's diner some role as well?) then in S3 we had the French woman with Gordon Cole ( keep thinking of that scene only with Viva Las Vegas playing in background when play it back in my mind as she's leaving the room lol ). Lots of mystery surrounding t...

Re: Reconciling the ending of FWWM with the ending of The Return

I'm unable to reconcile the 2 endings together as well. FWWM was fairly basic in that her soul was moving onward as a vessel for her spirit on an upward path beyond the threshold or plane the lodges exist in to eternity. Season 3 sort of re-defined what this meant I think is the easiest way to recon...

Re: [POLL] Best Twin Peaks book

I can't vote as only have read TSHoP so far. I did purchase "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer" a few months ago and will dive into it tonight ( perhaps I'll pick up the new audio version released this year as well if really like the book ). Really hard to find most of these; perhaps I'll c...

Manwith wrote: Nonsense. If Frost liked what Lynch wrote he would have no reason to ask for changes. All right, I guess that sentence I wrote isn't rubbing off right. I don't mean to imply I think he's at odds with Lynch secretly fuming about his input not being equal or that he's not ok with role ...

Re: Mark Frost's Contributions to TP:TR (Speculation)

N. Needleman wrote: She literally says the exact opposite of this in black and white. What she said didn't give me the impression Frost's contributions were moreso from a story standpoint than David Lynch's or that their input was about the same. This thread is about Frost's level of contribution. ...
