Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
I really don't mean to be flippant, but I don't think Annie is important at all 25 years later in the context of a continuation. She was basically a narrative pawn to get Coop in the lodge, and it's not like Lynch or Frost are terribly invested in her or any mid/late S2-unique characters. Maybe Ann...

Re: S3: Biggest Disappointment About Unresolved Subplots?
The very most disappointing subplot was by far doppleganger Cooper. The start of his story in no way connects to what we saw at the end of season 2 - absolutely no mention of any of the characters who led coop to the lodge, absolutely no connection in personality or mention of Bob, you know, the guy...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
I agree with pretty much all of this. But at the same time I find it extremely depressing. I really wasn't expecting such a downer ending of Cooper failing once again. I wasn't either, but in hindsight we should've seen it coming - the vicious twist in the tail is there in so much of his past-FWWM ...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
dead on! the missing double r to go painting was a huge red flag to me. They clearly frame it so that you notice. They also did not show the twin peaks sign either when they drive in. Almost makes me wonder if this is not tp anymore? Also, why Cooper shows the badge but not the credentials? Not sur...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
One question. Shouldn't the fact that the Double R has no To Go sign and that Tremond is young indicate that they are in the past? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk dead on! the missing double r to go painting was a huge red flag to me. They clearly frame it so that you notice. They also did not s...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
I'm curious why James Marshall was happy with the role he was given. Didn't he mention something about being important and having a great character arc? I feel his role was disjointed and cut short. Ditto Audrey - but Sherilyn Fenn said she was happy with what she'd been given too, though at least ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
After all is said and done, I'm cringing in advance at everyone begging for a season 4. Lynch and Frost do not deserve a season 4. They got their season 3 with full reign- more episodes than they wanted to give, more budget, more time, etc etc There was no resource made scarce, and with all that the...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I've never felt so emotionally disconnected from characters in any TV show I've ever seen. It's mind-boggling: The pair of assassins were killed by an unknown guy, I don't give a damn. Richard dies, who gives a shit, all he did was establish he was a bad guy. Dougie is no longer, thank god. Cooper ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
It’s understandable if people think calling it a disaster is hyperbolic. Artistic disasters are not that easy to produce. Again, simple incompetence is not enough. E.g. telenovelas don’t aim high enough to experience the fall and splat of real disasters. So if I read the word ‘disaster’ on a TV dis...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
- Diane's rape was just a stupid plot device and no one seems to care about her. Diane obviously existed as a real person once and Gordon and Albert knew her, but they didn't seem shocked or concerned by her disappearance. Tammy didn't seem concerned either, all that mattered was: cool, tulpas real...

Haters gonna hate. This episode is receiving universal acclaim. Everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion but if you've decided that you'll hate this show no matter what, no chance you can enjoy it anymore at this point. If you'd read the thread you'd realize that most of us have enjoyed at...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
LOVED Part 16 apart from the Audrey/Charlie scenes. If this isn't wrapped up properly I consider TPTR's Audrey arc useless. I strongly hope for the opposite, because it would be the only thing that I don't like about the new season thus far. I guess if not she'll be in good company with Shelley and...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Then I think you are projecting something on this storyline that was not there. Cooper was not 'mentally disabled' while he was Dougie - he was stuck in a psychic limbo, trapped in the shell of Dougie's life, aware of everything that was going on ( eg Mullin's gun), unable to break out of the trap ...

I don't get the hate. THIS episode was fantastic. Loved it all. Loved the Audrey ending completely. Can't wait for next week....mostly because someone I know is in the episode. Can you imagine?? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk 1. Richard's character did nothing other than establish what a bad ...
