Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Welp, that was fun! I still think we'll hear (or maybe they'll unfortunately be a leak) confirmation for Unrecorded Night before they're set to shoot in May. I'm guessing it'll be announced on his YT channel, but seperate from his weather report (as well as his Twitter account). Now, this may be a s...

Re: Can someone please briefly explain to me how set scheduling working in film production?
There’s a difference between locations and sets. When he talks about “the Fireman’s,” that was a location (a real movie theater in LA, also used in Mulholland Drive) that they only had booked for two days of filming. Here’s a “production schedule” I attempted to put together based on the dates in t...

Can someone please briefly explain to me how set scheduling working in film production?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uvy7pkXOU-Q&t=56s Above is a popular clip of Lynch getting frustrated at the lack of time he has to experiment and work out ideas on the set of The Return. My question is, if they supposedly “own” the sets and everything what time are they being limited by (minus ...

Re: Lynch insists Twin Peaks is a soap opera, not a soap opera parody.
I was very glad when I first heard Lynch say that. The whole "Twin Peaks is satire", "campy", or "over exaggerated" comments and claims were never justified under solid evidence from its creators. people just assumed their takes on the show were correct. Sure, a lot of ...

Re: Finding data about season 3's budget
I just hope that with the alleged $85 million dollar budget and 200 shooting days Lynch will have all of the creative time he needs to fulfill his vision. As far as I know the situation with The Return is still unclear. The complete budget, the number of hours Showtime actually wanted, and more rema...

Lynch's health:
I've seen users on Youtube and Reddit express their concern for Lynch's physical well-being throughout the past few months or so and I just wondering what this forum thinks of it. He's definitely lost a bit of weight and his voice sounds "weaker", I guess. He is 74 after all, but I'm optim...

Re: How long would you expect a season 4 to be...?
Great discussion everybody! I'm just glad that we got 18 hours and not the alleged 8-9 hour plan. I feel the editing and pacing of The Return was perfect (no filler as well), and couldn't be happier with the amount we got. To answer your original question, I have always been of the mind that a new ...

Re: How long would you expect a season 4 to be...?
It could be # of hours or episodes/parts. Also, if season 4 were to be shorter than The Return, do you think Lynch would still take the "slow-cinema" approach? It’s impossible to predict. Who would have guessed Lynch would give us 18 hours in S3? I do think the Part/episode count was dete...

Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)
I always took that in that way, yeah. The maddeningly long scenes of him doing what we perceive at the time as nonsensical doodling then turning out to contain deeper meaning feels like some kind of near-satire of himself, even. Interesting perspective, haven't thought of that before. I absolutely ...

Hello everybody! I've been lurking on here for the past month or so and I finally decided to join. I'm just a massive David Lynch/TP fan. I don't know if an introduction like this is normal (I don't use forums like these very often).
