Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

Not sure if this is affiliated with Dugpa or not (there's a lot of Twin Peaks related sites on Twitter), but this came through one of them today. It's a Google Doc where you can enter your bluray player info and what issues you have or not. The more people that fill this out, the better chance at ma...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

I know I keep bumping this, but is this just an issue we have to accept? I just got a new copy from Amazon for my birthday, and the issues are still present (Laura/Bobby basement scene, fight seen both had issues still). It does seem like the audio is ahead of the picture, which could mean it's a vi...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

The issue I think you're talking about, when sending a blu ray to an analog receiver via audio cables, AND the video to your TV via HDMI, they're likely to get out of sync. I had that happen a lot when I first got a blu ray player and HDTV. Once I started just using the speakers on the TV and sendin...

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

So is there a list of players that aren't effected? If I have to spend $100 for a new player that will play these correctly, then I will. I'm guessing at this point CBS isn't going to do anything about these issues, so it's up to us to figure out a work around.

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

Seems like this thread is dying too. Any updates on recent copies purchased? I'd really like to get this for Christmas, and finally watch it, but I won't want to waste my money and time again. Hell, I'd even consider buying another blu-ray player if I have to just to watch this without issues.

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

Amazon has pulled the box set from sale while they review it since so many people have returned theirs due to the issues. It's available from third party sellers, but not Amazon themselves. Maybe now CBS will listen since Amazon has taken notice.

Re: Twin Peaks Blu-Ray Sync issues (spoiler free tech thread

It's been a awhile since I've posted here, surprised I remembered my password! I'm having audio sync issues here with a Sony BDP-S570. After seeing about the problems, I thought about waiting to get the box, but after the price dropped on Amazon, I couldn't resist. The first thing I did was put in D...

Re: Eraserhead Soundtrack - Deluxe Vinyl Ltd Reissue

Mine was waiting for me when i got home on Friday. So they will be there soon. Looks like the differences are that it has a special numbered paper sleeve for the cover with a wax seal and it also includes a large poster. I'll hopefully have time to listen to it this week. Yep, that's what Sacred Bo...

Eraserhead being released by Criterion Collection

I was browsing iTunes and came across this: http://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/eraserhead/id541707783 It's under the Criterion Collection section with the cover being specific to CC. It's in full 1080p HD as well. I've seen some speculation on some other forums that this means it's being released by t...

Re: Unreleased Twin Peaks Music Announcements - Official Thr

Forgive me if I missed this info in this massive thread, but has anyone figured out what it costs to buy all of these tracks? I figured I'd wait until they were all released, now it seems like it's a much bigger collection than I had imagined.

Re: Pre-Order Dark Night of the Soul - Lynch Photo Book - Update

Here's hoping they offer free lossless downloads of the album then. If Nine Inch Nails can do it, Burton certainly should. That's what I was thinking. Hopefully we'll get a lossless release. The photos look nice, but listening to the songs on NPR's site, I'm really excited about this album. I just ...

Lynch on Lynch book - Original vs. Revised editions

I found a copy of Lynch on Lynch in hardcover today at a local shop. I was wondering what was added or changed to the revised edition of the book that is for sale now, is it worth getting both editions?

The Universal DVD also looks closer to the WS VHS version that was put out in the US in regards to contrast and levels, though my version is a little fuzzy too many viewings. I think the Universal version looks better than the MK2 version, as the MK2 version is too bright for my taste, though I'll s...

I just watched the R1 DVD, and one thing I noticed is that the voices are mixed really low compared to the music. I haven't watched my VHS version in quite some time, but I seem to remember it being very similar. Is the MK2 version like this?
