Re: A Rough Guide to making your own FWWM Extended Cut
FWIW, here's how I would insert the Cooper/Diane sequence and the extended Bowie sequence. 1) Agent Desmond goes to Fat Trout, sees the ring, and reaches for it. Fade to white. 2) Liberty Bell establishing shot -- Philadelphia 3) Cooper/Diane sequence 4) Establishing shot -- Buenos Aires (This wasn'...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
Looks like my first attempt at creating a torrent has failed... Luckily, Rapidshare no longer has a storage limit, so I've uploaded everything there... https://rapidshare.com/files/1512697234/Episode%203.3.avi https://rapidshare.com/files/634785962/Episode%203.4.avi https://rapidshare.com/files/1664...

I'm in the process now of exporting the episodes to AVI. I'll wrap them up in a torrent so you can see them if you wish...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
Wait, then what actually got left in? Oh, lots of stuff.... - The entire Davd Duchovny/Jean Renault/Ernie Niles subplot - The Major's abduction and return - Ben being forced out of One Eyed Jacks and trying to be "good" - Big Ed and Norma reconnecting - Mike hooking up with Nadine (althou...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
I'm not sure what editing software you use, but in my editor (Sony Vegas) I create a seperate track directly above the video stem, where the credits text is overlaid. From then it's a matter of having the text be overlaid on a transparent background (so that the video in the lower video track can b...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
There's a very easy way to get around the whole credits problem; you could always add them in. The credits font definitely exists (I'm pretty sure it's Arial Narrow), and I've used that in a fan video of my own. From then it's a matter of getting the correct color, silhouettes and shadows. Either w...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
Very interesting. What other cuts were done for narrative? I never thought about it but less is more when dealing with Windom Earle. He is much scarier in Episode 29 than in previous episodes. Glad you asked! (You're going to get a much more thorough answer than you bargained for. Ha!) When I first...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Edit
I was able to do it. And if I can, you can. I made "season 3" comprised of episodes 15-29. I even printed them to DVD and made a 5 disc set complete with artwork. It was a fun learning exercise. If you search through the archives here, you'll find a post when I first came up with the idea....

Perhaps I should have been clearer with my inital statements. I will let my friends watch episodes 17-28 as they are now as I would certainly want them to form their own opinions. And then when they complain about how crappy the show has become, I'll have some explaining to do... [Although, after wa...

but Ross I love the first half more than almost any other cinema -and I love my cinema.... And my fandom and appreciation is why I found myself increasingly frustrated when the second season continued in the manner that it did. My sentiments exactly. When asked what my favorite movie is, I always r...
