Wrapped in Plastic Back Issue request (28 and 56)

Sorry if I've posted in the wrong forum but I'm looking for anyone with a spare copy of issues 28 and/or 56 of Wrapped in Plastic who are willing to sell. If anyone could help out I'd appreciate it. The issues are out of stock at the publisher as back issue and I keep a regular lookout on Ebay but i...

Re: HI EVERYONE

Good idea to order them direct, you shouldn't wait for long - one thing to remember when ordering from abroad is the darn import fees the customs people sometimes charge - and the inappropriately large "release" fee for items from abroad. So just be careful if you order things from say dav...

Re: Wrapped in plastic back issues?

I had a subscription back in the day and delivery seemed pretty prompt - but that was a good few years ago :)

Re: HI EVERYONE

Welcome Kim, just like you I am based in England too, great to see you posting on the board. There are a few people from the UK on the boards so don't feel alone :) Would love to know which kind of comic shop you got your Wrapped in Plastics from, I only ever managed to find them direct from the pub...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Film & Fan Film Fotos

Just a quick note after reading the previous posts, it would be a great shame if this piece of work didn't make it to DVD (not for profit obviously as noted) or via an online stream - I am sure there are people who would gladly help out to get the video streamed via the website if distribution is a ...

Re: Woodcutters From Fiery Ships

Never really got into Second Life, although I hear it is a great community. I think in relation to evocating atmosphere etc that current and future generation consoles/computers will excel slightly more than online worlds like Second Life (in the short term) since they have dedicated power to create...

Re: Twin Peaks Fan Film

Sounds like a great project, thanks for the heads-up Dugpa. Be interesting to see if it ends up online anywhere after it is complete! Just curious, any clues as to the plot and how linked it will be to either FWWM, the series or maybe something completely new?

Re: Jennifer Lynch's Surveillance

Just a follow-up about the UK release, according to IMDB it'll be here in the UK around 9th January 2009 - there was some additional info there for US release dates not sure how accurate it is though whilst taking into account earlier posts. :)

Re: Woodcutters From Fiery Ships

Hey! Yes this did sound like a great project when it was in the news back then, I remember that there were a number of short online news articles and discussions but that was about all I remember although I am sure there was more. I'm sure a search might pick up some of the lingering stuff. I think ...

Re: What did you see first, The movie or the series?

Over here in England I only came to watch Twin Peaks after being asked to video tape the final 2 episodes for my sister (who had watched the series from the start) while she and the rest of my family were on holiday. Whilst taping them I got drawn in and that is how I got started with Twin Peaks- fr...

Re: What about Ronette Pulaski? What's her story?

Didn't she also work at Horne's Department store like Laura had done? It's been a while since I watched the series but wasn't there some kind of link between girls working at Horne's Department Store, then ending up at One Eye'd Jacks? Thus the reason how she became involved in it all?

Re:

I always thought it was symbolic of mystery, the impossible and the down-right illogical. I believe until about 5 years ago no one had managed to grow a purely Blue rose. Therefore, when FWWM was filmed..it was the impossible. It's up to us to wonder whether Lynch knew this consciously, or like man...

Re: FWWM- Before they go to the log cabin

Hey thanks everyone for your replies, seems like Charles and I are the only ones that kinda remember it - like I said nothing earth shattering just a curiosity. Thanks for confirming you remember it too Charles! Interesting that there are similar scenes like eyeboogers mentions in the series with th...
