Re: TM benefit concert in New York

Yup. Tried to get tickets to this via Ticketmaster. Was there at the first second (apparently just like everyone else). No tickets available to me at any price.

So it goes.

Re: What would MULHOLLAND DR. THE SERIES have been like?

I'm of the opinion that it would have been a disappointment. I think the detectives and mobsters story arcs would have quickly gotten old. 1612 Havenhurst would have been the core center of the story I also think that would have been too Melrose Place meets Twilight Zone to really interest me. I thi...

Re: How would you rank David Lynch's films?

Not into ranking the bottom, so here are the best

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

I don't think that the Absurda is a rip-off company.Look at the IE release,it's one of the most stacked releases i've ever encountered. As dugpa has pointed,it was really hard to assemble this set and that justifies the price a bit (though even the 90$ deal wasn't appreciated,i think that people wil...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

It's interesting how people view things differently. I've made whatever points I wanted to make about the merits (or lack thereof) of the set but wanted to just talk about the general value proposition. Say there is a new restaurant in Outland, Montana called Catching The Big Fish. They specialize i...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

Lynch isn't the only one who is re-releasing his stuff on DVD. A new restoration done by Coppola for The two first Godfather film came out this year, there's some different editions of Halloween, someone here mentioned the Evil Dead series. A great example is Grindhouse. First they released the two...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

1 and 4? That's weird... should play fine on Region 2 though. Is it just BV and IS1 that are region coded? No. Wild At Heart is Region 1. Others I didn't check. To be fair, the Blue Velvet revised audio is pretty terrific. If I were to say why, it's beyond the loudness factor (although that can't b...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

Can someone say if the set's Region 0 or not please? I know all the stores say Region 1, but they said that about Eraserhead and Short Films too, both of which are Region 0. Cheers. It depends on the disc. Eraserhead is still Region 0 (i.e. all region play) whereas Blue Velvet is Region 1 and 4 and...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion

With expedited shipping and import duties the Lime Green Set cost a lot of money, but it's worth every penny I'm happy that you're happy. But I've reached a different conclusion about this set. Is the mystery disc terrific? Absolutely. Love the deleted scenes and don't care that it's not visually s...
