Re: Best Way to watch fwwm and Twin Peaks?

I agree with Donna being played by Moira Kelly-she scrubs up well for One Tree Hill while LFB sucked in one of those stupid MIB flicks.
The FWWM Pink Room scene is best with headphones at loud volume, with no subtitles (and even slightly drunk in a smoky room-just like being there!)

Re: Fire Walk With Me - First impressions

IMHO not mucking it up,just projecting something for the folk who appreciate Lynch-Lynch rather than mainstream-television-Lynch.
Im sure as dammit, too that Leland wasnt the only victim but the nursery school way Series 2 dealt with his exposure was lame in comparison.

Re: I need some language help with the "Let's Rock" phrase

Hi qbin2001
Was the series on TV in PL or have you picked it up from DVD since then.
Was this sort of thing allowed under the communist govenment?

We have some Polish kids at work -theyre "fully westernised" and cant or wont remember the solidarity movement.

TP - Blue velvet crossover

In BV ,both Hopper and Stockwell say the line "now its dark"
Julie Cruise features in the soundtrack.

In TP she also does the music.
The first line of Into The Night is a whispered "now its dark"

Also spot Mrs Tremond/Chalfont as Aunt Barbara!

Re: Where Season Two fell apart

Film Critic Mark Kermode often refers to TP either outright or symbolicly He thinks FWWM is,although brilliant,a very nasty horror film. Which is actually spot on. He summed series 2 up in just a few words- its up it own backside. Ive had the complete box set for over a year now -i bought it just so...

Re: Fire Walk With Me - First impressions

FWWM was going to be a lot less lighthearted from the outset -Lynch was no longer restrained by the shackles of television censorship-the revengeful smashing of the TV set at the start of the film shouts this out. Get the "Short films of David Lynch" on DVD if you want to see some classic ...

Re: Twin Peaks Screen Caps

Sorry for the delay Jerry. Its the r2 DVD with the trasparent slipcase protecting a cardboard case with a blue-rose paperback booklet inside. There are two flash frames of terrified LMFAP - the first is before Ronettes angel appears (1:57:55),then ,the more intense one during the murder,at 1:59:46 w...

Re: Official Season Two/Gold Box release in UK/Ireland Thread

I got my goldbox from an Aussie fleabay seller-never regretted it .
Its R2,PAL and the quality is superb.
I couldnt cope being at the mercy of some penpusher in a distrubutors backoffice any longer so I got off my backside and got a set brought over myself.

Re: Complete Soundtrack Fight

Perhaps a bit nerdy, but I love the incidental sounds.
Like the telephone wires distorted violin at the trailer park, the background sounds in the blacklodge scene where mike and LMFAP demand their garmonbozia etc,the moaning wind sound.

These account for 70% of the atmosphere.

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?

Any scenes with any element or combination of the girly-gang that is AKA Donna /Maddy /James Examples such as the jailhouse scene where Donna pretends to be all grown-up with dark glasses and cigarette,or Maddy screaming at the "scary coffee stain" on Sarahs carpet. Or the excruciating mus...

Re: Twin Peaks Screen Caps

This is lmfap during the FWWM scene where LP is dispatched Its really difficult to catch any quality with a basic dvd playback setup so sorry for the distort and grainyness.Could someone get a better result for this? Its an image which really haunts me as the horror in his face is a real contrast to...

Re: Things I wish we'd seen...

Nadine/Eds honeymoon hunting accident -a flashback sequence narrated by Ed to Cooper as he waits at Calhoun Memorial.
Alberts sniggering would still be OK.
