Re: What's your Top 5 scenes in the series?

Wow Brad Wow, those are some excellent selections. Really all of them are just shining shimmering awesome scenes. The "Just You and I" song was so great, for having that slippery shifting dynamic between James, Donna, and Maddie followed up by the truly freaky Bob appearance. And I have al...

Re: Lynch really busy with Wild At Heart?

Wasn't just embarrassing watching scenes like that, wtf were they thinking. Can you imagine sitting around a table of writers and telling them "I think Nadine should be given super strength, have her think she's in high school again and become a wrestler." I would fire that person right o...

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?

The worst scene was of Albert telling Truman his mission is global & his reason is love. "I love you Sheriff Truman!" Say what?! This almost ruined the most down-to-earth character in the series and turned him into just another space cadet, like all the soapy "guest stars" i...

Re: Least favorite episode

I am with the anti-Evelyn Marsh sentiments. Of all the storylines, that is the one I just find a completely uninteresting. Little Nicky and superstrong Nadine have grown on me as time goes on. One other area that never quite did it for me was Harry and Josie. Their relationship just never seemed con...

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

I think the whole style of the series is very 90's, the storylines timeless but its undeniably different in looks to todays world. Well there are some outfits that really jump out as 80s/90s, the odd gigantic sweater or giant shoulder-padded suit. And when Cooper is getting investigated, the FBI gu...

It was a project he was hoping to do after Blue Velvet, I believe.

Re: If you could go back in time...

I can't remember exactly which episode this was in, but I call the scene "Love in TP". It's the scene with Gordon Cole and Shelly and Coop meeting Annie. The music coupled with the overall giddy feeling I get when watching this makes me wish that I was just casually sitting at the bar at ...

Re: If you could go back in time...

Holy jumpin... that is a good question.

I might aim for the episode (3?) with the chalkboard and rocks and oven mitts and all. That seemed like a bit of... an opening of a door. I want to talk to you about... TIBET.

And the dream.

I was thinking the exact same thing, I would be much more curious to see Ronnie Rocket than One Saliva Bubble. It looks like Dark City, in my head. But Lynched up.

Re: Nike to Release Twin Peaks Inspired Shoes

I have such a mixed reaction to these shoes! On the one hand it is insane that they would come into existence... but at the same time they just aren't shoes I would want to wear!

(confession: I am a Doc Marten man. they are just so durable!)

Re: Funniest moment in the series

It is one of those things I try not to fixate on, so I can enjoy the series as a whole, but the few actual David Lynch episodes sure do push the goofiness (and the horror, and the melodrama) to an extra level. The brothers and their food.

The Norwegians and ear pillows.

Re: Link between Eraserhead and FWWM

I should really watch Eraserhead again... and FWWM for that matter... (NEEDS TO BUY LIME GREEN SET!!!) but there is definitely recurring images of stages and curtains. From Eraserhead to Inland Empire.

And rooms becoming so present as to almost become another character.

Re: Introductions

Hi my name is Jason. I just finished my annual rewatch of Twin Peaks, and have been nosing around the internet still feeling Lynch-y, looking for news, and ended up here. Between this viewing and the previous, I went on a road trip to Snoqualmie and so it was nice to get that giddy feeling of "...

Re: Funniest moment in the series

Hi.

I am a bit of a sucker for the extended Andy slapstick scenes, with the rake, and the tape.

And little things like Major Briggs slapping Bobby and his cigarette ending up in the mashed potatoes.

And anything with Albert.
