Re: The Twin Peaks Quiz Thread!
An odd story, but I went to school at a small college in the Mississippi Delta called Delta State Universoty. I was a music student. We had two students from Washington state. I can't remember their names (It was a long time ago). One of them told me about fishing in "the falls". All of th...

Re: Twin Peaks Soundtrack is 'Out Of Print'
My local record shop has a couple of still-sealed copies in their Warner "cheap bin" for 5.99. So, their brand new. Used copies pop up from time to time. I don't know what the Ebay market gets for these. Anyone want a copy, let me know.

Re: If Lynch died?
I don't think it was finished. I think it was suggested and the guy did the artwork and was going to work with Robert Engels. Mark Frost gave the okay, but had a feeling that Lynch would decline. And he did. I don;t think this graphic novel got anywhere beyond some initial artwork.

Re: Let's talk changes: how would you change the second season?
I think that it was just a case of too many people trying to acheive the same goal. I think Lynch lost interest when the network came down on "solving the murder" or "killing the goose that kept laying these golden eggs". Yes, they should have hit the audience harder with some th...

Re: TP 10 Yrs Too Late
Wasn't Hotel Room slated to be a full-blown series on HBO? I'm not sure of the history, but if I'm not mistaken it was going to be Lynch Does HBO. It's hard to think that these three episodes were not supposed to be part of something ongoing and larger. I don't know how or when the decision was made...

Re: Least favorite episode
To me, the "drifting episodes" end when Josie dies and we see Bob for the first time since Leland's death. It's like our show came back to us. But, alas, it was too little too late. I honestly don't know that Peaks could have sustained a large audience for several seasons. It's easy to poi...

Re: Dune/Spartacus
Oh, no doubt. I understand that most folks here love or like Dune more than the average person. I guess the topic of discussion I was trying to get at was the similarities if Dune as a "studio film" as opposed to an "auteur's film" to Spartacus (which is the only other one that c...

Re: If Lynch died?
I doubt that it has anything to do with the collaboration of Mark Frost. I think Lynch gives alot of credit to TP's success to Frost. When Amick (in the Slice of Lynch feature on the gold box) tells/sucks up to Lynch, she metions the success of the show to his beautiful work. Lynch then stops her an...

Dune/Spartacus
While most feel that this film is awful (unfairly), many might even agree that this Lynch's worst film (again, unfair), I feel that this movie is not nearly as bad as all that and I would even argue that Lynch's worst film is better than most. I like Dune. I dismissed it early, but once I "got ...

Re: Twin Peaks Soundtrack is 'Out Of Print'
It'll probably be re-released with different artwork, and the actual song arrangements will be replaced by David Lynch just humming them all. And we will all gladly line up to purchase a copy... A friend of mine and I used to joke that we wouldn't having an 8 hour video tape of Lynch plantin...

Re: Twin Peaks Soundtrack is 'Out Of Print'
I'm sure like most things it will be gauged on actual interest. Obviously the original soundtrack sold fairly well, but does anybody know how the second soundtrack did? Of course, the music industry as a whole is a different beast these days. If I remember correctly, the original release was Warner ...

Re: Least favorite episode
All of the Lynch episodes are among my favorites, particularly 14 and 29. I'm still moved by the Giant telling Coop that "I'm so sorry..." Between the music and the way its shot, it just moves me.

Okay, I'm in the midst of one of my favorite "Peaksfests" as this is the first time in years that I can remember watching them all by myself. The last several times I've watched the series was with others (most had never seen the show). So, I'm hunkered down in the much maligned second sea...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
I got this for Christmas, which was cool as it was the only thing I really asked for. I guess it was the total completist in me that wanted it. I was sold on the "mystery disc" and, of course, the Industrial Symphony disc. The rest, I already owned, with the exceptions of the soundtrack an...

Re: If you could go back in time...
I can't remember exactly which episode this was in, but I call the scene "Love in TP". It's the scene with Gordon Cole and Shelly and Coop meeting Annie. The music coupled with the overall giddy feeling I get when watching this makes me wish that I was just casually sitting at the bar at t...
