Re: No Ray Wise?
Baffled to me meaning when they sat down and were compelled to revisit their hit show by their train of thought with it. Like how did they start with their past product and remembering when it was in its glory and come up with things like take hit character Cooper and make him not Cooper for 90% of ...

Re: No Ray Wise?
Ha. Whether you thought the Return was genius or a mess, I’m still baffled by how Lynch and Frost came together with this being the overall story they wanted to tell. It’d be (to me) like Friends returning and the powers that be focused on 346 new actors. And I also find it hilarious that they wante...

The guy has jet black hair naturally. You lose that fast with getting white, grey hairs really early. He’s an actor. Even that natural grey would be a dye or striped. At least he’s has hair though, good for him.

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
Yeah, it’s a friggin tv show and your good guys have to get into trouble and have pitfalls. Cooper gets shot. Hell, James Bond always gets captured and the bad guy looks like they always have the upper hand. Once they had her be a business woman they still tried to make it work with how that charact...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
Ha, and funny though looking back to when the show first aired, I never thought much about Leland or he’ll, even Laura Palmer. It was pretty much the Cooper, Audrey, Donna, and I guess Truman show as the main protagonist. Whenever Leland had a scene, I was like oh yeah that guy.

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome)
Eye roll a thousand (but with love) She wasn’t good at it because it’s a tv story and it needs opposition. She only really worked as a character as a mini detective who was too impatient and should’ve kept getting in over her head. You know because it’s a tv show. Um, the whole returning the favor a...

Re: Freddie's fight scene in part 17
I talked to Sabrina Sutherland about this while it was airing (circa episode thirteen)...and she said before episode five aired she talked to Lynch about how his name should appear in the credits. He thought about it, and decided on listing his name.

Re: Season 1 episode 7 script
Yeah, definitely not Leland. Or definitely not NOT Leland. I think given the nature of what they were planning with the show it was a means to be a possible good avenue to explore down the line on who it could be. It was a soap opera mystery and was going to be on all accounts even if they got past ...

Re: Season 1 episode 7 script
Yep, most of episode two was the last filmed. Like all One Eyed Jacks set stuff was still being built while other episodes were filming. I’ll have to hunt down my schedule shooting lists, but I think a lot of the finale and episode two were overlapping to some degree. And thanks for providing the co...

I’m Charlie Brown, Lynch is Lucy with the football. I’ll always keep coming back.

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?
I come away one year later just baffled, honestly. Not that they would throw more wonderful ambiguity at us in the end, that’s fine... but in terms of their structure along the way. I felt they needed to streamline and have actual basic bulletproof points to hit when it would go ambiguous. The best ...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?
No, I think Lynch is a fine writer... it’s hard. Blue Velvet is wonderful in that respects. But for me when Peaks was working consistantly -really during its first season at its tightest- was when it was breezy, snappy, like a 30, 40s film. And that also led to the strength when Lynch would come in ...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?
It's all good. it was a how are we feeling one year later answer. For me, revisiting some moments with the hand on the fast forward button. 18 hrs is a lot of Lynch for me- and for me, with everything generally the same tempo and heightened importance, it tends to negate it and sink... ev er y sing ...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?
One year later? Well, I guess, um... the pitfalls of the second season I coukd always reconcile to outside forces... but this one with all the creative control Lynch and Forst had and time to plan it as a whole... er, um... I think they needed a few more rounds with their structure. Some fantastic m...
