Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

i really, really like this book. unlike the earlier tie-in books, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (which i enjoyed quite a bit) and The Autobiography of Dale Cooper (which i didn't grab me much) i think Mark Frost's contribution to the Twin Peaks books could stand on its own as an intriguing piece ...

Re: Connections to TSHOTP (SPOILERS)

The Secret History is a really good book to go back and glance at once in a while, i read it once when it came out, then once slowly during the course of the series (starting around the episode 8 break i think) and i started to read the early chapters again. there's a lot of interesting parallels an...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

... in episode 12 when we see Hawk at Sarah's doorstep and there's a sudden crash somewhere inside the house wouldn't it be neat if it was actually the Reber's we heard (on instructions from Lynch) as it would imply it was somehow The Tremonds we heard. Almost as if a sliver of reality already perm...

Re: Music From The New Series

so does anyone have the "Threnody" version by Witold Rowicki in their CD collection? would be very grateful if anyone would be willing to rip it in as high quality as possible and upload it.. WAV would be the best. i think it would be worth ripping the CD of the score and replacing that tr...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Satisfied Support Group (SPOILERS)

WHO WAS THE MAN BEHIND THE DOOR?? I'm pretty certain it was Tim Reber judging from what he says in this interview. b7ZghHdBG9w yep. watched that interview yesterday, really seems like nice people and the impression i get is that they were big fans of the show before moving into the house, right? pr...

Mister C and JUDY (Spoilers)

Hawk's map appeared in episode 11 and the most intriguing part of it (at least on the surface level as it is supported by a dialouge exchange) is the representation of the Blue Pine and White Tail mountains (our beloved Twin Peaks) with the half moon crescent above it and the omnious black figure on...

Re: Season 3 Timeline (SPOILERS)

Something interesting i noticed is that the first entry of the dossier in The Secret History is dated September 20, 1805.. when re-reading it now it struck me that it was the same day and month that The Return starts but now i see i was slightly off. still close enough to make it an interesting para...

The connection between Sycamores and portals

some people during the run really disliked the fact that the portals to the otherwordly realms was no longer just located to Glastonberry Grove with its mystical circle of 12 sycamores, but rather seemed to pop up all over the place. i myself wasn't quite comfortable with this either, and especially...

Re: Part 5 - Case files (SPOILERS)

I just rewatched this episode and need help. 1. Why was Briggs' prints found 16 times ("where this time?")? Did he physically teleport a lot while in the Lodge? 2. The Laura/Fireman creation music plays while Dougie is crying at Sonny Jim. It played when Coop says goodbye to t...

Re: Poll: Would you like to see a 4th season happen? (SPOILERS PERMITTED)

i would love to see a new season happening, but as mentioned before the enemy here is time.. there's already many important characters who passed away but i guess as long as Kyle and Sheryl Lee is game it's possible. the biggest indicator that we might get a Season 4 is that they changed the name of...

Re: DoppelBob

good point.. that phone call is still one of the most mysterious in the new season. if i remember right it also looks like Mister C is the one calling out but suddenly the dialouge switches to let us know that "Philip Jeffries" is the one who called.

Re: After Kyle, who was the best actor?

that's a pretty tough one.. i cast my vote on Naomi Watts whose performance i really enjoyed. had Grace Zabriskie had a larger role i'd probably vote for her. Matthew Lillard was also fantastic and Richard Eamon's first apperance was chilling. agree with putting Kyle Maclachlan at #1 though and that...

Re: The visual aesthetic of the new Twin Peaks

it's crazy that Lynch at first wanted to make this with the same digital cameras he used on "Inland Empire"! as much as i like "Inland Empire" i am really glad that didn't happen. i think the camera they decided on using is a nice middle ground between that style and the more cin...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

question for profoundly disappointed support group, i enjoyed season three quite a lot (not without my own mixed feelings), but i'm curious: anybody here who hated parts 1-17.5 but loved the final 90 min? seeing as the last 90 min was so different from what preceded it and that the whole bob-orb se...
