Re: Least Favorite Storyline in Twin Peaks

i never thought the James Hurley storyline was that awful either... it was a bit cheesy, but it did manage to capture some noir feeling from time to time which at least was a welcome change from all the ultra silly stories about Nadine behaving like an 11 year old with superhuman strength, the Lucy,...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

Something I always wondered about though, what the HELL is what is known as "Alphabets 2" and "Alphabets 3" that has been floating around the net.. some pretty creepy stuff, though they are obviously outtakes from the filming of "The Alphabet".. has some great scenes a...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

I believe it wasn't included with Eraserhead on Blu-ray due to a rights issue. All the other shorts are owned by David himself. he managed to release it on his own DVD "The Short Films of David Lynch" though, and that was released on Absurda? i agree with Axxon N though, it wouldn't fit o...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

I love this short so much, it's a travesty criterion nixed it from the Eraserhead Bluray. my "Eraserhead" DVD has the complete documentary Lynch One as the bonus... i've actually never seen Lynch Two. "Cowboy" seems kind of jarring with "Eraserhead" though, i'd prefer ...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

Another big MillenniuM fan here -- season 2 may be the least 'stable' overall, but I absolutely love it. 'The Curse of Frank Black', 'Jose Chung's Doomsday Defence', 'Anamnesis', 'Beware of the Dog', 'A Room With No View'... so many fantastic episodes. I adored the first season as well & still ...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

Nothing compares to Twin Peaks for me. But my second favorite show of all time is the Sopranos. Same here. And didn't Sopranos have a few moments that felt very much like TP? Like the one with the fish? Davis Chase is a known Lynch fan. Despite the fact that I love The Sopranos dearly, the claim th...

Re: The Entire Mystery Blu-ray: how common is packaging damage?

i don't have that problem with the packaging, but i have far greater probem...i don't have a Blu-Ray player haha. so it's laying there on my table just asking me to shell out for a new TV and a blu-ray player.

Re: Buenos Aires Bellhop: Are you the man? or Ayúdame?

this is great, i was always extremely curious as to what he was saying as the words "Are You The Man?" would have sounded great and mysterious in context, but the words are just not there. another mystery revealed haha :)

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

but man there's some mindblowing episodes in season 2 that you might have missed. the two parter that closes that season is some of the finest, gutsiest television ever produced. Seconded - If you haven't seen the part of the season 2 finale where Lara goes insane to the tune of Patti Smith's Horse...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

no one else loved "MillenniuM" on here... a bit suprising i must say I loved the first season of Millennium back then. Absolutely loved it. But was really shocked at the nose-dive in quality the show took once season two started. They basically retooled it, jettisoned the serious dark ton...

Re: Twin Peaks Reunion in Entertainment Weekly

I disagree, I think it's the individual that determines their sexual energy, not their age. Yep! As a for instance: Sherilyn Fenn was undeniably a babe circa 1990, and you could see that in a still photo (although that Pilot haircut does her no favors). But what really makes that character explode ...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

HBO is a benchmark for quality television imo.. and YES, "Carnivale" was a great, great show. i loved the atmosphere of it and pretty much everything about it.. my only complaint was that i sometimes felt it took too long to get places. I really hope that Daniel Knauf hooks up with a good ...

Re: The Cowboy and the Frenchman

OTA was summer '92. June or July. it aired between June and July '92 in its US premiere but i'm more wondering when it was actually shot. i know Lynch said he got the actual idea for the show during production of a Twin Peaks episode where a lot of thing Went terribly wrong and they had the ABC pro...

The Cowboy and the Frenchman

I was watching this strange little film from Lynch again last night (i've seen it on YouTube before) but i finally got my hands on the Short Films DVD to see it properly. it struck me that this has A LOT of the same people as Twin Peaks involved, and in a way it feels like a pre-cursor to "Twin...
