Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

keep in mind that all of these folks, in addition to being members of TP world, are also just fans of Lynch in general as we all are. I was thinking this too. In addition to being excited to see a new Lynch project (as we all are), they have the added potential benefit that maybe he’ll cast them! T...

Re: March 25th or March 27th (25 Years Later)...Or another date?

The wonky way Lynch is counting down to the New Year on his weather reports made me think of this debate! As an example, this morning, he said there are three days to 2021: December 29, 30, and 31. It drives me crazy when people count like this because it’s inaccurate. But it does provide yet anothe...

He’s home for the holidays maybe and was in the neighborhood? I know he grew up in the area. Both his parents are deceased, but maybe he was visiting other family?

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Thoughts on what this part means? Could Netflix not want their involvement announced yet and threatened legal action? Is there a Showtime-style dispute? Have they dropped the project? Were they never actually involved? Meh, who knows. I would imagine studio space would not have already been booked ...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

CBS/Showtime definitely didn't have any of the FWWM rights to begin with, but eventually bought or licensed them. That is one of the reason's why it took so many years for The Missing Pieces to become a reality. M2 owned all rights to the film, but it was probably worth more to CBS since they could...

No. I think the weather reports are completely idiosyncratic, and I never read much into them, as much as I enjoy them.

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

In TFD, Mark also takes advantage of the fact that Dougie does indeed appear to be wearing a jade ring in all his series scenes! It's weird how he could remember something like that or rewatch it and notice it and then make use of it, but forget/not notice the whole Vivian thing, as you pointed out...

Dougie Milford! Speaking of which, in reading about the books, it seems like he became a very interesting character! Yeah, I really enjoy what Mark did with him. As a sort of “blank slate” character whose backstory could be filled in, Mark really took him to some very fun places. He’s really the ba...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Lol. I also thought perhaps Hawk and Lana get together - he was quite taken by her! That was Hawk’s worst moment in the series. I always hoped we could meet his girlfriend, Diane Shapiro, PhD. So many mysterious Dianes on this show. No, Lana goes on to date Donald Trump and a bunch of other rich pe...

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Quoting from another thread. Saw Mark tonight in Portland. He said "You are going to like where Hawk ends up". "You might remember Lana Milford, Miss Twin Peaks 1989". Did anything ever come of this? How did Hawk end up? TFD reveals that Frank is only interim sheriff once Harry ...

I’ve never given these any real thought beyond being annoyed that streaming services use them. But yeah, I have no clue. I guess the ball is Dougie’s wedding, and masked because...everyone has secrets? IDK. These are so dumb.

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Annie is said to be born in 1973 and is 12 in 1985, which would make her 16 when Cooper sleeps with her! Ironic considering Heather Graham was already several years younger than Fenn when she was brought in to replace her as Cooper's love interest when Audrey was considered by Kyle to be to...

Oh, and I still find it hilarious that Mark reveals that Andrew Packard grew up in Twin Peaks as an all-American boy scout, who presumably acquired an inexplicable English accent at some point.

Re: SPOILERS: Inconsistencies in the Secret History of Twin Peaks

Is there a list of all the inconsistencies anywhere that includes the second book? There's one linked at the start of this thread that covers the first book, but I figure the second book addresses some of those or tries to but fails (as in this example we've been discussing) or introduces more. If ...
