I really wouldn't read much into this. He could change his mind at any time (the original article states he was reluctant to respond unequivocally at first).

Frost has mentioned in one interview that the passage of time will be an important theme of the show. Seeing these melancholic shots of Ed, Carl and Sarah, one may sense precisely that.

She went to Lynch's house to read along with Laura Dern. I don't think that would be the case for a small role.

Then again, I think that relatively speaking, everybody else will have a small role as opposed to Cooper.

Not really Leland (Bob) was supremely confident he wasn't getting caught. Actually it was quite a brilliant move by Cooper and clever by the writers. Clever by the writers?
