Absolutely, but so don’t think I could resist the temptation to ask him what the final scene in The Return means!

Do you think he’d give me an answer?

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service

I can appreciate Star Wars contribution to cinema; I don’t want to sound like an elitist: I’m an unabashed fan of what Kevin Feige has done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I find many of the popcorn hits of the last four decades to be terrific, fun films, many of which I own on Blu Ray and ...

Re: Twin Peaks actors working together outside TP

I love Happy Birthday to Me! Good, professionally made slasher...and one whose length is one of the factors that contributes to it seeming to be more like a "real" movie than a low budget slasher. I like the death scenes in HBtM, especially the opening scene murder, and it was fun to disc...

Just chiming in to say this is a great idea of a project to undertake during quarantine! I would help but I haven’t played chess since 1984 :-)

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service

At the end of the day, I don't think Star Wars is really that great, except for that John Williams score, which is fabulous, and of course, the special effects. I thought it was just me, but apparently Sir Alex Guinness wasn't a huge fan himself. I can appreciate Star Wars contribution to cinema; I ...

I The wonderful chaos of the rubber ball scene (even if Mike’s reaction to Ben is a bit of an unearned fake-out, the scene is just viscerally so amazing), There never was an explanation as to Mike's reaction.... My best guess is that Mike sensed that Ben and Leland had been physically close the nig...

Another little check-in with Lynch during lockdown: https://pagesix.com/2020/04/14/david-lynch-offering-transcendental-meditation-to-healthcare-workers-fighting-coronavirus/ “I have a couple of houses that are close to each other, and I have my family in one and I’m in the other. I feel like Im trapped in the Red Room. Want to get out but cant. BTW hows the situation in your locality? How are you affected by it? In my case, the area where Im living is sealed off. Only essential stores are open and I've been working from Home since this month and my country is in a lockdown ...

We Are All Harold Smith Now

Besides feeling like shut-ins, what part of Twin Peaks, S1, S2, S3, FWWM or tie in materials, reminds you of the current situation or speaks to the current situation?

David says he has no plans for the screen right now, reveals his favorite quarantine activity, and of course pitches transcendental meditation: https://www.vulture.com/2020/04/david-lynch-is-making-tiny-lamps-in-quarantine.html I would say it’s purposely ambiguous as to whether he is talking about ...

We will have to wait and see if we see any new television or movies that weren’t already filmed before this disaster hit.

Re: Conversations With Mark Frost: Twin Peaks, Hill Street Blues, and the Education of a Writer

Someone really needs to ask Lynch about the “Josie drawer-pull” thing. By all accounts, this seems to be his biggest contribution to the latter half of S2 prior to E29. I’d love to hear his take on why that was the thing he became fixated on. I thought that scene was awful when I first saw it, and ...

Re: General Discussion on Season 3 (All Opinions Welcome)

I watched John Carpenter's Starman for the first time in decades. The alien has instances where he just repeats the words of people. Then he goes to Las Vegas and manipulates two slot machines to win a ton of cash. It's probably just a coincidence, but you never know. I've been rewatching a bunch o...

He also comes across as rather disdainful of The X-Files, rather surprisingly....
