Re: Coronavirus Worries...
Hi all. Just thought I'd start a thread to discuss the coronavirus since it's scary and it's now worldwide. If you need to talk, please post here. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/erasing-stigma/202003/controlling-coronavirus-anxiety Right now, a possible Season 4 seems a distant concern...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
I wonder if Bob Iger resigning as CEO might clear the way for Disney to pick up Twin Peaks?

But this would be the ULTIMATE Super Mega Platinum release LOL

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?
Twin Peaks Worldwide is not credible or worth discussing. That may be so, but their viral campaign to "Bring Back Twin Peaks" in the mid-10s -- when everybody else was still proclaiming the property's death -- was uncanilly visionary, I'd say. I think it’s completely different people runn...

Not much to discuss until we can read the book ourselves.

Re: Twin Peaks 30: Official Fan Celebration (Graceland)
Lol. I just checked out, the significance of Graceland and it seems it’s Elvis Presley’s estate. Is that an odd location to host such a thing? Trivia time. Did You Know...? Russ Tamblyn helped Elvis practice the Jailhouse Rock choreography. Charlotte Stewart had a deep talk with Elvis while shootin...

Re: The Good Place
Just watched the penultimate episode of The Good Place . The gang finally ascend into the Good Place (in other words, heaven) and on their way into a welcome party they pass bowls of labelled goodies. The first says: Energy You Had When You Were Twelve. The second says: Fully Understand the Meaning...

Do you want to take a stab yet at what it 'means'?

Yes, that hit me right away.

Re: The biggest problem with The Return - the fear/mystery element largely missing?
For me, an area where I feel the fear/mystery was lacking was with regard to the Doppelganger. BOB/Leland in the original series was a perpetrator of cosmic evils (incest, murder, rape). Evil Coop in the Return looked like a drug runner from Scarface - particularly in the Buenos Aires photo Albert ...

I was actually thinking the same thing.

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
Note that Veronica Mars was actually able to pull this off successfully for its second season, before ditching the formula for its third and final season. So it definitely could have been done- a new murder, a new mystery... And it worked again for Veronica Mars' fourth and hopefully not final seas...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
Twin Peaks never had a formula, per se , but I think the basics of what a lot of fans wanted was another mystery in Twin Peaks, with Cooper teaming up with the Sheriff's station to solve the crime. Note that Veronica Mars was actually able to pull this off successfully for its second season, before ...

Re: Twin Peaks Season 3, Star Wars, JJ and Fan Service
I did. I understand it was him voicing his personal feelings, but the mag presented it as a 'critical' essay and I found it anything but. It had a lot of fallacies in thought. For instance, the new series is put under this hyper-scrutinizing and often pessimistic lens that the old series isn't flay...
