Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

Do I want seasons 3 (and 4)? Without a doubt. I feel as passionately about Twin Peaks as i'm sure all of you do. I suppose i'm just hoping that Harry's story will be concluded in these new episodes. If it is, THEN i won't want more. But if they do leave out the elements important to me, and promise ...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

I get that the new Twin Peaks will have to revolve around Laura Palmer too, and I'm happy about that. I feel that Season 3, and possibly 4, will be fine to cover that. But I personally don't want any more. It's just my response to those who, however jokingly, say they want seasons beyond next years....

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

I'm standing by my original point. Too much of a good thing.... What more could they say? I cannot see Twin Peaks' central story-the Laura Palmer murder, being dragged on for another 4 seasons. We have ALREADY had two, and a film. My personal feelings is this should be kept contained and bittersweet...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

It may be off-topic but, does anyone else actually want this to be the end of Twin Peaks? Not in a 'i hate it why won't it die' kind of way, but in that, as for me at least, I want this next season to have an air of finality about it. Of things coming to an end. Not neccessarily in a depressive Fire...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

I'm actually really hyped. Sky Ferreira's post on Instagram is indeed interesting. The festival does seem a more personal venture for Lynch, so Showtime involvement does add different connotations. Not to mention it's ideal timing in regards to the novel's release; keep the marketing train rolling. ...

Re: The Supernatural, Silva and the Season 2 Problem

I must confess, I never REALLY liked the episode where Leland was arrested, (17?) besides from Ray Wise's unbelievably chaotic and the heartbreaking final scenes, I feel that much of the rest of the episode is quite weak. The opening scene in particular; all those HORRIBLE slanted camera angles, and...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

The Festival of Disruption's final music event is The Music of Twin Peaks, and the final talk is by Kyle Maclachlan and Laura Dern (admittedly only following Blue Velvet Revisited). The only other event closing the show is The Photography of Chris Stein, but I imagine that it will just be a walk-in ...

And Jack Parsons again... I think it's safe to say the teasers are getting a little more specific nearing the release.

I appreciate it's for a charity, (even if it is his OWN charity) because they do spread a really positive message with TM, even if you're a skeptic, it's hard to not be enthralled by Lynch's passion and belief in it's ultimate goodness. But what I do think is a little sketchy is the clearly VERY car...

Now that the countdown is over, all I can say is, who came up with this idea? Why John Malkovich? I'm sure some think he's great, but I can't stand him. The skits he's done are just like poor, near word for word re-enactments of scenes fans love. I know it's for a good cause, but why do it at all? T...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

It actually makes more sense to fill the gaps between season 2 and 3 after we've seen season 3. That means we start season 3 with more questions than answers, which is more satisfying than feeling like we're waiting for the show to catch up to us. That's a really good point, it hadn't even occurred...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

While I am excited for the prospect of surprises in the audio book, and the rumored addition of a second volume, (any expansion upon Twin Peaks should be good) is anyone else even slightly frustrated about the fact the first volume, if there is one, will not bridge the gap between seasons 2 and 3? I...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Hello, it's my first post, but I've been reading for a long time. Though I live very far from Snoqualmie, I live in a small town not dissimilar from Twin Peaks. There are vast, dark forests, a silent mine, a glowing, mysterious, radio tower, wide lakes, and even the ghost of a murder victim whose ca...
