Re: Twin peaks: Nostalgia Fanedit

A interesting project, I'll certainly keep an eye on this. But that clip reminded me again of the major issue here: Neither Ben nor Jerry play any role in the plot. I can't think of an editing solution that would change that. I would say giving Truman the key that Cooper needs, Ben hearing the hum,...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

You're correct Jasper. Though there are photos, and presumably footage, of BOB's Doppelganger, the only Doppelgangers we see in the show are Cooper, Laura, Maddy, Caroline, Leland, The Arm, and quite possibly Diane. As far as Mr. C, he never actually changes in to a golden pearl, he just sits in a c...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

That's a really interesting way of interpreting that. For whatever reason, that never crossed my mind. I've also been thinking a lot about the rules of the Doppelgangers. As far as I know the only Doppelgangers we've ever seen are those of the deceased and one Lodge spirit, with Cooper being the app...

Re: Twin peaks: Nostalgia Fanedit

This edit actually came to me in a dream, I just never felt the need to make it until I was reading this thread. It's not perfect because the cuts need some refining, and I can't edit audio very well so that was just removed, but here's how I did it https://vimeo.com/296703549 It only sort of works ...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

I would agree with at least the first half of that. BOB and the frogmoth probably didn't exist before that, especially in light of this Frost quote “The creature we saw being born and crawling into the mouth of that young girl is the origin of the evil we’ve been dealing with for 27 years,” said Fro...

Re: The Random Season 3 Thread

Mark has also said that the iniial idea he approached Lynch with was Good Cooper reentering the world in an abandoned house in a derelict Vegas suburb, and said he and Lynch had forgotten the “25 years” line until they sat down together to rewatch E29. So that was a breakthrough moment, but not his...

Re: The Random Season 3 Thread

There were a couple of quotes in this article that I don't think I've seen before, but the article is a couple months old so they might not be new to everyone else. On the frog moth “The creature we saw being born and crawling into the mouth of that young girl is the origin of the evil we’ve been de...

Re: Black Lodge/White Lodge mythology

While I thought the mythology expanded/introduced/explained in Season 3 fit right in with the original series and FWwM, some pieces here and there seemed like fairly large contradictions. I thought that one of the biggest contradictions came from us knowing that Glastonbury Grove has existed and bee...

Re: One year later - how are we feeling?

I took a couple stabs at writing a response to this thread, but they never came out right so I've decided to stick with short and sweet. For the longest time I found myself wavering in terms of how I felt about The Return. Watching live, there was a lot to love but there were also a few things that ...

Re: Twin Peaks VR game

I highly doubt there'll be fully realized 360 3d models of (human) characters, that is pretty high tech, high budget stuff only blockbuster AAA game companies can do right. I think the EOTA is probably one of the easiest to properly realize in 3d. Don’t forget Drawer Pull Josie! I'd be so happy if ...

Re: Alan Wake Show Coming

All of that horrible Other World imagery just sticks with you forever and you slowly suss out the terrible things that have happened to those people or the terrible things they did. That is one of the things I love about FWwM and The Return, that cheery veneer over the darkness is mostly gone and yo...

Bummed that I missed out on both limited variations, but also super excited and thankful to finally be able to get this!

Re: Alan Wake Show Coming

I definitely do. It was originally much more open world and had day/night cycles and all of that. Remedy eventually switched things up because they found that the open world made the shortish linear story they were telling harder to engage with when you're supposed to be saving your wife, but instea...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Any idea if the amount of production time allotted is an issue?

I remember him saying on the documentary that he didn't ever want to work with such time constraints again because there wasn't much time for exploration. Though, I guess production schedule is probably tied in to money as well.

Re: Blu Ray- Essential Movies to Have

Not sure if you enjoy the film but, if you do, I'd highly suggest Rocky Horror. It is a beautiful filmic transfer and the colors really pop.
