Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Dale said in the pilot that Theresa's body was found in "a town in the southwestern corner of Washington"... Are we basing Deer Meadow's apparent distance from Twin Peaks on anything other than that? Seems like Theresa had her body dumped like Laura, and could have floated some distance b...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Yes! I want people to talk about this. Is the 5 digit number on the pole a zip code? What is the purpose of the single 6 on the pole? When I say purpose, I mean the real life purpose, not what it might symbolize. The yellow numbers are defined by the utility. Each utility has a different way of ide...

When I say purpose, I mean the real life purpose, not what it might symbolize. What puzzles me (drives me nut) is that that's THE pole of FWWM, the No. 6 pole that w...

Re: What did Laura whisper to Cooper? (SPOILERS)

I analyzed the same audio a few weeks ago, after 3 hours of filtering, EQ, and general hassle, my best guess is this: After "Whisper"......"He was following the stars at night.....shadows...voice in the night" As Dugpa doesn't allow for audio posting, this is best I can do. Awes...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Lost Highway, MD, IE, Eps 14 and 29 of TP, etc. sucked me in at various points and left me terrified. Here, I can consciously tell when Lynch is trying to go for that vibe and it's not clicking. I'm enjoying the series but I do tend to prefer those works you cite to his earlier work, and I think mo...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think the bad reviews of FWWM were biased knee jerk reactions, and I think the positive reviews of S3 are the same in the opposite direction. We have a hipster pseudo-intellectual pop culture now where we didn't when FWWM was released. It's was a different time. To each their own though. The Meta...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Have you never had an experience tho where something forgotten and repressed suddenly comes back into your life? Sometimes emotions can be overwhelming. Not after 25 years, even accounting for delayed grieving. Like I said. Bobby seemed fairly in touch with his emotions in the Diary and series, goi...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Sylvia, what do you make of the Bobby scene being so off? Seemed excessively reactionary. He had over two decades to process his feelings, even if there was some delayed grieving. This was Leland/Sarah level, and kinda forced. A slightly more restrained reaction would have been more powerful to me....

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

The Bobby scene was probably the worst for me though. Some people have taken it as a wonderful, heartfelt moment. But a lot of people feel that everything was really off. REALLY off. I try to imagine if things had of been the other way, and Season 3 had turned out the way I'd visualised it. Musical...

Re: Joan Chen's letter to David Lynch (NON SPOILER)

Found it, thanks Twin Peaks WIkia An unscripted scene which had been shot and never used where Josie's body can be seen in the curtains when Cooper enters and experiences the "Rooms" of the Black Lodge as Frank Silva stated in an interview at the first fan Twin Peaks Fest. Richard Beymer t...
