Re: Gender in Twin Peaks: The Return (SPOILERS)

Heather Graham is getting a film made about sexism in the movie industry http://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/news/a837024/heather-graham-half-magic-hollywood-sexism/ Annie, sorry you fell through the cracks. Ah, well. That's good. Also, is your avatar from Belladonna of Sadness ? How appropriate for ...

Re: Part 18: something's bugging me...

THANK you. it's frustrating reading posts (not necessarily on dugpa) where people say variations of 'so twin peaks/cooper was all a dream in the head of some guy named richard?? what a waste of time! lynch retconned the whole series!' i can understand people not liking this season for many differen...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Question for the profoundly disappointed: Would you have preferred an alternate scenario for the revival that was more akin to the current iteration of the Star Wars franchise, where a media company basically purchases the rights to the franchise and hires filmmakers who were fans of the original t...

Re: Watching 17 and 18 in sync

I think Deming and Lynch just like a certain composition within a frame. So did Kubrick.

I also think Dark Side of the Moon and Wizard of Oz don't sync at all, or any better than any random album and Oz.

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

...I'm still pining for something more on Chet Desmond... Oh absolutely. I was a bit dismayed how they moved the Fat Trout from Deer River. I love the Deer River environment and had really been hoping to see more of it and follow up on Chet's disappearance. Literally the only plotline I'm depressed...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

[ It perfectly set itself up for a season 4 that might actually provide some engaging storytelling if they followed, imo, the example of 17/18. But it's not going to happen. So this is it. This is where we have been left. Abandoned in the street with a faltering and doubting Coop (or whoever he is)...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I agree, Venus. It's a interesting short film, or two short films with a slight overlap meant as companion pieces for Return. I want to think it out for myself for about a year (something else Kyle said in that interview today, give it at least a year) and definitely read Final Dossier before dismis...

Go watch CSI then if you don't want to get on the Kool Aid spaceship lol (sorry was just reading the comments on that Deadline article)

Yeah his delivery of that line is like a molesty grandpa; I gagged.

Re: Recut of TPTR

Cut Wally Brando, leave everything else. And Lucy killing the doppelganger and the Freddie vs BOB bubble showdown. I'd rather these arcs to be left unresolved. Just have a silent film style "scene missing" plate over that part with a bar of Slow 30's Room over it. Part 8 could also ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Sorry, just to go a bit off topic, this thought just popped into my head before going to bed. Did we ever find out what on earth the dog leg in the boot of Bad Coop's car was all about? Did I blink and miss it? Sorry, just a random! :) Wasn't it the warden's dog, Mr. Strawberry? Or did I make that ...

Re: Twin Peaks The Return: The Mixed/Moderately Disappointed Thread

What are you referring to with the RR customer changing and Ed's reflection? What episode and scene? 7 and 13 respectively I think the aspect that I'm perhaps the most mixed on is Sarah Palmer. Her scenes were, without a doubt, some of if not the most compelling of the whole Return. But the implica...

Re: Twin Peaks The Return: The Mixed/Moderately Disappointed Thread

I liked how Cooper leaves a different motel than the one he enters, if that's the same Cooper that left the lodge, if that's the same Cooper that entered the lodge. Stylistic flairs on TR like that, the RR customer changing, Ed's reflection, everything Sarah- I could have taken more of that. And hav...
