Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

There is a more mundane explanation perhaps: at Dutchman's electronics may simply not work. That would explain why he used the landline to go back. Also a fair point! To me it always seemed that Mr. C and Jeffries were not in the same room, mostly because of different ceilings (the fact that the sc...

Yes on the aspect, it is somehow unsettling. So Audrey woke up and yet the music goes on. "Where we come from there is always music in the air"

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I think there is an element to the beginning of the part that has been missed. What does Mr. C tell Richard? "Pay attention and you'll find out". So what was it? Jerry Horne shows up wandering around and wondering: "People?!" And he then uses his binoculars the wrong way round. T...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

On the topic of car as a metaphor for body, which we discussed in Parts 3&4 thread, part 15 lays more of it out in the open: "Get Gordon Cole, tell him to forget about our car ( Dougie ). Tell him he can get another old car ( Dale Cooper ) some place." Remember back when Leland as Bob ...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

If you look at the ceiling in the Jeffries' room it is the same type as at the one in the purple world room where Naido and American Girl were. And there is also a hallway in the back leading away from the room, in both places. Cooper left via electricity, mr C. via the landline. It is not the same ...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

"Who's Judy?!" Mr. C is a rabid fan, just like the rest of us. Yes! That was my immediate thought when first viewing the scene upon its original airing. It was at this time that I really started to notice the pile up of real world intrusions, and Mr. C came off exactly like an entit...

Re: Part 15 - There's some fear in letting go (SPOILERS)

"Who's Judy?!" Mr. C is a rabid fan, just like the rest of us. Well now, here is another take on it. I am not sure this was mentioned anywhere before, and like all Judy-related matter, it is a bit of stretch, and there will be more meanings that just this one for sure. What caught my...

Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)

I know it is stock footage, but the plane taking FBI out of South Dakota is not the same one, on the outside, that they flew into Dakota with. On the inside it seems to have been the same plane. I suppose it is a continuity error, I am not sure if we should be reading more into it. And the Roadhous...

I missed that one.

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Yes, we can imagine him being shellshocked after all these years in the lodge. Upon his return, he simply has the fortune on his side (losing the room key and avoiding the sniper), intuition (lodge curtains above the slot machines, seeing Anthony lying), and minimal mechanicalness (selectively repea...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

Having just seen this part (other than the initial airing), I am now convinced it was Phillip Gerard who was on the phone with Mr. C in part 2, declaring "I will be with BOB again". Just like at the end of FWWM, LMFAP and the Arm would have collected garmonbozia from BOB. Two things I have...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

My main thought during this viewing was that at 42:19 Charlie suddenly says "Tina" and nothing else. They cut to Audrey's reaction. Not only that, but at that very moment (when Charlie says "Tina"), he also winks with his left eye at Audrey. Is this about hypnosis, hypnotherapy,...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

This must have been the part where Albert joined the profoundly disappointed camp. Originally, I had considered what happened to Sarah in S3 as a retcon, and was one of major points of dislike of S3. Some people did ask Frost about it, and he countered by asking what really made one think that...

Re: Parts 3 & 4 - Call for help & ...brings back some memories (SPOILERS)

I think that it is probably inferred in those scenes that doppelgänger voice has some characteristic or property that is differently modulated by electronic equipment, compared to natural voice. It would therefore be definitely interesting to hear how Mr. C would have sounded through Fireman's phono...
