Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

the real Dale returns to reality, but he is not whole because the real doppelganger still exists I figure the real Dale is a drooling person because he's spent 25 years in surreal gibberish land. The real world is now just as nonsensical to him as the lodge. He needs some time for his brain to re-a...

Re: What are the Owls?

I agree with Rami. Laura Palmer talks hypothetically about space in FWWM- a place where you fly forever cause the Angels have left. It doesn't seem like things beyond human understanding in the woods would necessarily be different than things beyond human understanding in space in the dream like set...

Re: What is the general take on 'Who killed Teresa'?

But you can hardly blame people for taking the Frost route and deciding the the metaphor/archetype manifests as literal due to an aspect of the local mystical field. I like the Frost "X-files-esque" stuff a lot I just don't know that I find it very useful where it interacts with the Lelan...

Re: What is the general take on 'Who killed Teresa'?

While Bob is a metaphor for abuse, he is clearly ALSO a separate entity from Leland. . Mark Frost was apparently inspired by ghost stories that sprung up around a real murder. 'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4336146/The-real-life-murder-Sand-Lake-NY-inspired-Twin-Peaks.html Bob can be seen...

Re: What is the general take on 'Who killed Teresa'?

The discussion here is far too literal. It's clear that Bob is a metaphor for child abuse as a social ill. Leland was abused as a child by that man he met who asked if he wanted to play with fire, and does it to his daughter. Possesion by Bob is a metaphor for those victims of child abuse who grow u...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

Here's my random ass theory on the continuity errors: Gordon Cole altered the archive before giving it to Special Agent Tamara Preston. Why would he do this? Suppose Annie never woke up from the coma, but emerged from the lodge pregnant? Could her child be old enough to be a rookie FBI agent who is ...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

I just wish Lynch doesn't overdo it with his esoteric (for lack of a better term) sensibilities. I want Dale Cooper, not Maharishi Mahesh Yogi... Also, I'm more a fan of Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart than of Mulholland Drive (haven't yet seen Lost Highway and Inland Empire, nor am I much eager to s...
