Re: Season 3 Ended On A Positive Note (Spoilers)

He's taking on more traits of the doppleganger and the world no longer recognizes him as Cooper, only Richard. He no longer loves coffee. It seems that this isn't a fight he's going to win in the end. Audrey's last scene was equally pessimistic. I can see how you might want to be more optimistic, bu...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

One blogger's take on the pessimism in the end: Where are we at the end of Twin Peaks: The Return? We’re where we started. Cooper is trapped someplace terrible and sad; Audrey is a girl in trouble in the midst of a cliffhanger whose fate we can never know other than to know it is baaaad; and there’s...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

I'm not sure that Cooper's problem is exactly a hero complex so much as thinking he has more understanding and control of the supernatural forces at work. The fact that The Fireman alluded to Richard and Linda and 430 doesn't mean that he was actually telling Cooper to "cross over," or th...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

Alternatively, whenever you change the past, you don't alter the existing universe but create a new one which branches off at that moment...so even if Coop had succeeded, the corpse-less world becomes Earth-2. Earth-1 still goes as it always did in the original show. There's nothing to suggest time...

Re: Gender in Twin Peaks: The Return (SPOILERS)

Did we get any positive images of women at all in TP:TR? Norma is positive. She takes control of her business and asserts her contract rights. She loved Ed but isn't defined by him. Yeah. I'd go with that. She is also highly conservative in choosing 'family' over 'business'. She didn't *really* cho...

Re: Season 3 was incredibly mean-spirited (spoilers)

I don't think Leland is in the lodge. I think that's his doppelgänger, the one who buddies around with Bob in the end of season 2 and says "I didn't kill anyone.' I figure he's manic depressive and coop found him in a depressive mood in season 3.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Okay, apparently Frost implied in the Blue Rose Magazine interview Annie would be in his book, but it could be a red herring I guess:

Q: Will we learn more about Annie and her fate in the new series?
A: All I can say is: Wait for my addendum to the book [Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier] to come out.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

And yes, how's Annie? We depended on finding that out. Mark Frost said Annie would be in the upcoming book. Don't know whether we'll find out how she is, though. I must have missed that. All I know is that he had said that all would be revealed in the end, and it does not seem like it did. The &quo...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Without Dougie: Dale returns, and The Doppelganger goes back into The Black Lodge. Classic swap. With Dougie: Dale returns, and The Dougie does back into The Black Lodge. Hacked swap. Either way a swap is set to occur and The Doppelganger knew that Dale would be returning. I agree 100%. It seems to...

Re: Will the finale reveal "How's Annie"?

I think it's unlikely that we'll get more Twin Peaks after season 3, but if we did I wonder if Annie could be the unresolved mystery that leads to season 4? The one final mystery that Dale has yet to solve?

Re: POLL - PART 17 & 18's biggest surprises will be...

It's hard to make predictions for the upcoming 2 episodes, as Audrey's mirror moment sort of placed the reality of everything we've seen so far into doubt. I'm not sure what has really happened and what has been some sort of dream/fantasy. Has the entire show up to this point been a dream, has only...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

There was no "locked in" syndrom with Cooper. He was not "awake". When he "awakened 100%" he received memories of what he had been through with Dougie like remembering a dream. That's how I read it.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

This is a VERY curios stance, to say the least. If you don't mind me asking, what is your attitude towards the protagonist of The Sopranos and, by extension, the show itself? I really liked it, even though I only saw a few seasons. My attitude toward Tony isn't the same as Don or Walter because I f...
