Absolutely agree with this.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

I'm speechless and it's going to take me a while to unpack that. Gotta hand it to Lynch, he intentionally leaked the end of the whole thing and still made it completely unexpected and confounding. It wasn't intentional but yeah, you can't spoil something that is literally indecipherable to begin wi...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

The thing about the sex scene is that it was intentionally made to make you feel uncomfortable, the music was a juxtipositon of MD/IE-esque drone intermittently mixed with '50's love ballads. There was nothing normal about that sex scene. The song was "My Prayer", which was the song playi...

Yeah I definitely think there's something to this.

It's almost like Part 17 put the Twin Peaks universe in a kind of time capsule and Part 18 happened when Cooper stepped outside of it.

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)

I loved part 17, I can say at least this much right now. I think I need to give part 18 a long little while to digest. While there was a ton of really emotionally profound moments in part 17, particularly incorporating the previously unseen footage from FWWM and the Pilot, Part 18 mostly leaves a se...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I think the Audrey thread is done. They've confirmed that it wasn't real by showing the audience her "awakening" in the mirror. I doubt there is anywhere else for that story to go (unless she sinks back into dreamland and argues with Charlie some more). There might be the little matter of...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

I bet this thread is going to get neglected, but there was some amazing and spellbinding stuff in Part 17. Honestly if this had been the end of it, it might have been even less perplexing. The incorporation of secret FWWM footage was pretty mind blowing, as was whatever was going on in that walk in ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

There's a few other threads like Audrey's that has to progress beyond where it is is now, but for the most part almost anything else may be game for ambiguity and interpretation, and even perhaps leaving threads incomplete as a basis for a possible continuation. As long as it's not the same threads...

Re: A Simple Poll: Is Richard toast?

Even if Richard is not the same Richard The Fireman referred to, there is still a little more of his story that needs to play out. But death does not necessarily mean his story is over. Hell, death may not even mean we won't see the character again. Laura and Leland remain a part of the fabric of th...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Throughout all the lead up to this season, I was expecting this would be the final piece of the Twin Peaks franchise, and I was perfectly content with that. Now on the eve of the finally knowing we may be watching the final two hours not only of the Twin Peaks franchise but possibly of David Lynch'...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Does anyone know the length of the final two episodes? I'm hoping part 18 at least is a bit longer than the usual 60 minute run time. Throughout all the lead up to this season, I was expecting this would be the final piece of the Twin Peaks franchise, and I was perfectly content with that. Now on th...

Re: So this is goodbye...

I first started lurking here when "The Missing Pieces" was announced, when that was really exciting news because we would get a chance to see previously unseen Twin Peaks material, which pretty much all of us thought would be the last new Twin Peaks material we would ever see. I think I ca...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I doubt we will get any explicit clarity on what has been real or not at The Roadhouse (other than Audrey's Dance). But I'm definitely questioning the objective reality of James' performance now (it may have been in the future but Renee has never otherwise seemed enamored by him). And I think anyone...

Re: Twin Peaks Music Guide - Fire Walk With Me

Does anyone know who composed Deer Meadow Shuffle? The notes and some comments on this youtube page have Lynch and David Slusser as the composer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2-fAYJTxAE But I can't verify it anywhere. It sounds so much like a Badalamenti composition. But so do other Lynch and S...
