Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

Are we not going to talk about how Lynch just put up a new short that features golden orbs, Judy facial features and frog moths coming out of an egg? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV8CPB7u_rg That's not new actually. Around 50% of the shorts he's been posting are old, either from his old paysite ...

Re: Part 12 - Let's rock (SPOILERS)

Another thing that I recall mentioning originally (in the disappointed thread I think), when I first saw this part, is that the previous scene (where warden Murphy gets shot) shows the waning Moon, and yet Charlie says that it is very dark outside as it is a new moon. I did not think it was a coinc...

Re: Season 4? Or is it over after this?

I think it's worth taking into account that following Twin Peaks, Frost utilized the production arm they'd set up at Lynch/Frost to make the anthology documentary series American Chronicles, and the comedy he & Lynch both worked on, On the Air. With the clout they have now, perhaps the next thin...

Re: Part 13 - What story is that, Charlie? (SPOILERS)

What about it? Dougie must have remembered here his fall into non-existence in part 2, with dandruff reminding him of all those chaotic particles all around him as he was falling down (or alternatively, the scene with Naido falling of that platform in space, and I just saw somebody else made this p...

Re: Laura's diary pages (Potential Spoiler?)

I don't see any point in bothering with the Secret Diary fanfic. Lynch never read it, and he doesn't even care about his own continuity! I would stick to TV + FWWM, to make it a bit less messy. Sheryl Lee read it and used it to inform her performance, and seeing as she's a major driving force for t...

Re: Parts 3 & 4 - Call for help & ...brings back some memories (SPOILERS)

I've always taken the weird voice to be the doppel's almost ridiculously bad attempt to mimick Cooper's genuine human mannerisms. Like it's something so beyond the doppelganger that he lacks even the capability to know how badly he's failing, similar to anyone who's bad at anything, really! :)

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

I mean, Bob seems pretty despicable, but maybe he just feeds on what he feeds on? As humans we generally consume life when we eat (even if we're talking vegetables), which could arguably be seen as bad by some outside being that somehow didn't have to subsist on life. I like this line of thought a ...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

I was reading the other day about the trope of the elevated woman, this chivalrous tendency in certain medium-bending artists to deify an almost platonic concept of woman as a sort of sun in their work of which everything else orbits. The classic example of this is Dante and Beatrice though there a...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

The use of the “Laura Palmer Theme” over that sequence is so beautifully timed out with the beats of the scene. It hits the crescendo just as Laura says, “I’ve seen you in a dream,” but becomes ominous again as Laura takes Cooper’s hand...then starts getting hopeful again as the “wrapped in plastic...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)

Another thing I just thought of: Why does Mr. C even think the real Briggs/Ruth coordinates lead to Judy? Per Hastings, Garland wanted these coordinates to get to a safe place to hide, presumably FROM Judy! It seems like that would be the last place to find her. Are you sure Mr. C stated that as hi...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

The text was sent outside the rock that Richard was fried on, not the convenience store, unless you're implying that that rock area is affected by Lodge activity, which it clearly is. Still, an odd detail. Oop, looking over my posts in this thread, it appears I have some signals crossed of my own. ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

I assume if that text was that important he would have sent it again, but it's still an odd little detail to me. I always took this as implying that the Convenience Store space, being somewhat outside of things, has poor coverage, and that he knows once he passes a cell tower it will send, albeit d...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

Some more thoughts actually on the coordinates. What if what Ruth wrote on her arm weren't exactly coordinates, but the means in which to arrive at the coordinates? Diane's mouthing when she's inputting the GPS always seemed like pneumonic to me, but perhaps it's even cipher? Otherwise I can't make ...

Re: Part 16 - No knock, no doorbell (SPOILERS)

The confusion of the coordinates to me seems just another step in the general time whackiness that creeps in as, ironically, more plot pieces start cohering. Wasn't there the out of sequence Las Vegas? message in this episode too? Perhaps the area reception of the Convenience Store played a hand in ...
