Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

Yes, I completely forgot about the international portion of the equation. as well as special products and etc. I might be the perfect example of why The Return could be quite profitable, even with a relatively small fanbase: Since The Return was announced, I bought approximately 10 months of the Sh...

One year later - how are we feeling?

I think about it every single day, mostly in positive light. I think it changed me as S1 did back in the day.

My wife a couple of days ago said that she hopes for a 20-hour long Dougie spin-off.

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

I tend to be skeptical that TP was financially rewarding for Showtime — based on the information we’ve been given, I’m of the opinion that it would be deemed a failure if it weren’t for the prestige that comes with the property and DKL, despite the positive spin Nevins has tried to give for his inv...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

I really don’t think anyone is hiding the ball here. I believe Showtime when they say they’ll be happy to produce the show if and whenever DKL comes to them, and I believe L/F that they’ll do it if and when they have the right idea. I haven’t seen any indication that they HAVE had that idea yet. Th...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

I don’t think they will announce before the Emmy’s as I think they would lose the nomination (I believe there are precedents). The main clue for a new season is that Showtime is still advertising TP, and so are the actors. Kyle keeps posting TP related pics, even Laura Dern published at least a TP r...

Re: What's next? What chance do think there is we will see a season 4?

The persistent rumours/wishful thinking on a series 4 or series 3B that is ready to drop (mostly on reddit) are almost certainly nonsense, but part of me of course is counting down the days til July to see if anything materialises. Failing that, even if a series is announced, it only starts another...

Re: Why so little of Grace Zabriskie?

Zabriskie turned in the most chilling/horrifying performance among the characters in S3. So, why use her so little? A let down on the same level as almost leaving Ray Wise out completely. The more you spend time with a character - even an evil one - the more familiar you are with him/her. The more ...

Re: Sarah’s smile of darkness

Sarah's smile's origin https://www.instagram.com/p/0HlxrKypmO/?hl=en&taken-by=chrysta_bell This was in 2015. I had posted it on reddit a while back ,but forgot to post it here The theme of the image, yeah. It’s an older work from Lynch. However, the actual image on the url you posted looks diff...

Sarah’s smile of darkness

Hi! I might have found who’s the original owner of Sarah’s smile of darkness, as we know it’s not Laura. Conditional is mandatory as I could be completely wrong. My theory here, some user was very kind to create a gif and a side by side https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/8ed6f4/all_sarahs_s...

Apologies if this kind of thing has already been done by a different forum user, or if this kind of thing isn't allowed here. I haven't been on the forums since Part 18 aired. LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS Downloadable at the link above is a 16 hour, 39 minute, and 27 second long mp3 file, encoded at 320kbp...

What's your favourite scene from The Return?

Agreed. Ashbrook was the perfect anchor to that scene and I couldn't imagine it without his presence, nor did I ever question his presence. Especially since it fits into the Twin Peaks in microcosm encapsulation provided by the wild mood and genre swings of that entire sequence starting with the pa...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Yaxomoxay - I associate 'its in our house now' more with the Palmer house, if it has to be linked to a specific location. But what I mean is that the abuse that happened in that house in Twin Peaks has moved into the Lodge and the trauma it caused has created manifold effects in there and the real ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I think it’s pretty obvious that Mr. C raped Audrey on a “literal” story level, although, as LateReg and others have theorized, the world of the show seems to be simultaneously “real” and psychological. On some level much of it can be read as a manifestation of Cooper’s fractured psyche, and perhap...

Re: What's your favourite scene from The Return?

I like the sick girl scene too, but feel it would have benefitted from just about anybody else attending on it aside from Ashbrook. He didn't belong. Andy or Hawk would have been preferable. The scene, like many in the series, felt like a nugget Lynch had in a drawer somewhere and decided to fish o...
