Re: Laying it all out - episode 8 gold edition

I think it might have something to do with the montage of scenes that play over the screen as the camera moves from cooper talking to the items laying across the table, until it gets to andy who then stands up and tells rosenfield off. I wouldn't know why exactly though.

Re: What Scenes take you out of the moment or make you cringe?

No way is Albert's speech about love a bad scene, or a "rewrite" of the character. The reason he goes back to the way he was immediately afterward isn't because they "screwed up his character," he is still the same guy he always was. He just opened up for a brief moment about his...

...during the Korean war; sleep deprivation is a one way ticket to temporary psychosis." This doesn't make sense to me. If the psychosis is only temporary, how are you getting a one way ticket? Since your stay is only temporary, your ticket should be good for a return trip, that's just common s...

Judy was the woman Jefferies was investigating when he disappeared off to lodge land, just like Desmond & Teresa and Cooper & Laura. Like the little man from another place says in the FWWM script: "events proceed cyclically." That's how it seems in the script anyway, but since in t...

Well fellas let's give credit where credit is due. In the autopsy scene they decided to give Twin Peaks a break and rip-off Silence of the Lambs instead. I'm proud of them for watching a non-David Lynch directed film. It's good to expand your boundaries and whatnot. That NES game was cancelled befor...

I don't get why people write off 3! 4 was terrible, yes, but 3 was plenty good! Yes it was a good game I just didn't care for it compared to the others. I thought it was just "too much" I suppose. Too much combat, too much of the "otherworld" and too much backstory. Silent Hill ...

At first I was excited about this, just from reading the front page, because I figure there's no way David Lynch would ever ok an official game. But this is such a balatant rip-off and I just know they'll get all the important stuff wrong. It'll probably be littered with pointless action scenes and ...

Maybe it's just my need to "solve" Twin Peaks but I can't help but think think that with Inland Empire you could almost do it. I just think of the Log Lady introductions and how, for the last episode, when she's obviously speaking about Cooper she's talking about "reflections." A...

While a graphic novel would be very cool, personally, in a way I am glad it isn't happening. That final image of Bob/Cooper is very creepy, & a possible continuation/resolution could ruin that. Its the case with Carpenter's Halloween & the dozens of sequels that follow it. Carpenter's film ...
