Top of the Lake is great. A bit slow but it pays off wonderfully at the end. Elizabeth Moss is fantastic.

I don't know about the novel but I don't think the series will retcon the date. I think they'll just say '25 years later', not 2014 or 2017.

They just don't want to explore the character anymore. I bet they'll mention she returned to the convent or something like that. I still leave a 5% chance she'll make a surprise appearance. They can skip characters like John Justice Wheeler or Evelyn but definitely not Annie.

There's no way they won't resolve the 'How's Annie' cliffhanger somehow. I'm fairly certain that it will be resolved in the series and not in Mark's novel. No way they'll completely ignore her.

Stranger Things is amazing. One of the best shows in a while. Just wonderful storywise and aesthetically. The casting is spot on, especially the kids were fantastic. The score is also really great. To be honest, I expected several continuity errors to occur in both novel and series and I'm not going to let them bother me. Exciting stuff all around.

The lady who tweeted those pics works for Flatiron. She knew very well that she signed the NDA, so I don't really get why she shared them anyway.
