I can guarantee you there is no 'animation layer' in "Mulholland Drive".
If you want Lynch animation, try "Dumbland".
Must be some great dope you've got there...

Re: What's this video?
Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!!!! I have been looking for this for years!! Somewhere I have a VHS of it, withOUT the BlueBOB censorship, but have not been able to find it and my crazy ex stole a lot of my Lynch-related stuff when she stole my guitars, etc. This was shot in August of 2002, on the hill above the ...

Re: What would MULHOLLAND DR. THE SERIES have been like?
Ron Howard's production company, Imagine Entertainment, was the producer of the show. Tony Krantz was David's former entertainment agent and he was with Imagine then, and he took it to ABC.

Re: The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive on DVD
Hi, Christian. Lost Highway was released on DVD after I left Lynch's and moved up north, so I never have seen it or gotten a copy. Can't help ya on that one. I don't have a Blu-Ray player or any such discs, so cannot comment on that either. I do still maintain a friendly contact with Dave, but we ne...

Re: Guitar?
Tablature is something I never learned, even though as a session guitarist I have played on hundreds of records... So cool, Thom. And Brad, ahem myself, I do not know enough about Twin Peaks music to know the piece you were talking about! I don't have the CD and I only watched the series sporadicall...

OOowwww.... Who dragged me in here!? Annie... let go of my ear!! OK. Wow... this is a 'Back from the Grave' topic. This was the second project, and first album, I did with David. The first project was the Honda Passport "Mountain Man" TV commercial, done while Dave was a client of mine and...

Re: Guitar?
That 2-note 'bum-bum' in the Twin peaks theme and 'Falling' is not a guitar at all, though it probably started life as one. That was a sample played by Kinny Landrum, according to what Dave told me. And, Dave did not play guitar at all until 1997, when he did the first dive-bomb guitar-as-sound effe...

Re: Agave and Water Circus?
Yes. 'Agave' was a time-lapse experiment in which we locked down a digital video camera under a weather-proof hood and left it on intervalometer, where it would shoot a couple of frames every so often (I forget the interval now) 24 hours a day. The Agave plant blooms once, reaches an incredible heig...

Looks like an early rendition of the character that became Randy in "Dumbland" to me.

Re: Anthony Hopkins and Lynch
Well, I have heard the story directly from Lynch, and it certainly isn't so 'nicey-nicey' from Dave's standpoint as that old Hopkins interview. So much of it is personal and I won't compromise Dave's confidence in me, but shall only point out to you that it still weighed so heavily on Tony's conscie...

Re: Are you done with film? DL: I think I am.
I don't know anything about this clip with Keanu, but I do remember, while producing segments for DL.com, and just maybe during one of the early shoots for what became Inland Empire (it was originally 2 different stories for web episodes), he was editing on his computer, experimenting with after eff...

Re: The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive on DVD
As to the original topic of this thread, The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive video transfers were indeed supervised and approved by Dave. The surround audio tracks were direct transfers of my 5.1 theatrical mix. No re-mixing necessary for DVD on those, as the native mix was 5.1. The Lost Highway...
