Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

it was so rushed and strange. It gave me an Inland Empire vibe, with the kind of fish-eye lens look and the camera shoved in peoples face. The way those were shot was so different that other scenes. The cinematography has been so varied. Well, it was news footage being captured. That's why it was s...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

Analysis of plot issues is great!! Analyses of social issues are probably better conducted in either dedicated threads or other forums focused on those issues. Quite frankly, it is not easy to ignore. I found myself wasting considerable time sorting through each of the 34 pages in this thread to fi...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

How are we supposed to feel about DougieCoop and Janey-E's consummation? One poster found it beautiful, and DougieCoop's face afterward for this person reflected genuine love. I found it pretty rapey. If the genders were reversed, and it was Janey-E acting like a simpleton and Dougie taking advanta...

Re: Part 10 - Laura is the one (SPOILERS)

Someone mentioned something about the Black Lodge and Mexico. I am racking my brain to know what you're talking about. Anyone else know? I have no memory of that I need to check the book, but I believe that Secret History talks about a potential lodge opening in Mexico. More specifically, I also ma...

Framed_Angel wrote:James's companion at the roadhouse early on, was wearing a cast on the same arm as Ike, someone already pointed out.
He wasn't wearing a cast, it looked like a big green gardening glove. The weird part is, the hand never moves. It looks like it's covering a prosthetic hand or something.

I dunno, the Chromatics song was perfect to me. I've always felt that Laura's death upset the timelessness in the small town. It doesn't matter to me that there are electronica acts showing up in the Roadhouse now.

Re: Different Twin Peaks podcasts

I had gotten into the habit of watching the Afterbuzz TV recap shows for The Expanse, and from week to week was impressed with the informed analysis, combination of people who had read the books and hadn't read the books, and frequent guests from the show itself answering questions from people comme...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

That figure doesn't really seem to mean much, though. The fact that a higher PERCENTAGE of TP's viewers are streaming than those of other series doesn't mean that TP has a higher NUMBER of streamers. Theoretically, if only ten people are watching the show and five of them are streaming, streamers w...

Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)

Some people up-thread seemed to think that Ike The Spike didn't have the wrapping on his hand before he walks out into the hallway, but they carefully shoot the scene so you don't see his wounded hand. He's drinking his whiskey left handed and his right hand is out of the frame for the whole scene....

Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)

Why are the co-ordinates on his own web site then? Those are probably the first set of coordinates that led them to where Briggs was hibernating. Assuming they aren't just a fun easter egg planted by Rhino Records marketing the soundtrack album. They could have zero to do with the coordinates talke...

Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)

A couple of questions I didn't see brought up. 1) William Hastings says he doesn't have the coordinates as Ruth wrote them down. If that's the case, why would his secretary have them? Ray was trying to get them from his secretary correct? Or are these separate coordinates? One that Briggs is lookin...
