Re: What actors/actresses would you like to see in a season 4..?
Hawk had probably corrected them a hundred times and eventually gave up. Like the “bunny” scene, I think the “joke” is that Hawk has to bear their cluelessness in subdued annoyance while he tries to solve the mystery. I also think it’s significant that L/F grew up in a time when the label “Indian” w...

Re: What actors/actresses would you like to see in a season 4..?
I think in Lynch’s case, he’s in love with a certain Norman Rockwell view of America, and also with older movies that all starred white people. Because of his formative influences, his aesthetic just naturally runs to caucasian faces when he’s visualizing a role, and he doesn’t really second-guess i...

Also, the excerpt made me think of Mr. C's comment that he doesn't need - he "wants." Interesting connection to make. In the original show, Dale tells Audrey that what he needs and what he wants are two different things — implicitly rejecting “want.” Is it an important step in Dale’s jour...

And it would get onto disc eventually; at least it would exist. That's no guarantee. It seems they only release their most popular content on disc. Something minor like shirt films he makes for the internet is fine. I'm talking about a major work like a new series or movie. It's not picture quality...

I think a lot of us enjoy those materials — which Lynch has always been happy to provide — not because we crave “answers,” but because we’re fascinated by the artistic process and how ideas develop — something Lynch has generally been happy to talk about throughout his career.

^^If that is the truth, that is fine by me. I just don't want him directing anything for Netflix or any other service that comes through the internet. Don't have any streaming service myself (I have the real Netflix, the DVD/BD mail service), and have no desire to get it to watch my favorite filmma...

Re: References in the Return to Lynch's Non-TP Works (SPOILERS)
Can’t believe this hasn’t been mentioned before, but Mkchael Elphick’s “Night Porter” in The Elephant Man refers to himself as “Sunny Jim” when he’s selling tickets to see Merrick.

Re: Lynch to release memior 'Room To Dream: A Life In Art'.
So based on prior information, I guess we can infer that the Eraserhead deleted scenes were lost during Mary Fisk’s move from LA to Virginia while Lynch was in Mexico on Dune (he’s previously said that Fisk threw the film out while he was out of the country shooting either The Elephant Man or Dune, ...

Lifelong Dune fan Kyle MacLachlan, on the film: “Ultimately, there was no way to flesh out the intricacy of the world Frank Herbert created, because there are just too many things going on in the book. Re: Lynch to release memior 'Room To Dream: A Life In Art'.
Interesting to read that DKL did an additional pass on The Elephant Man script for the sole purpose of adding depth to Bytes, to get Freddie Jones on board. I think the character in the final script is still fairly one-dimensional, but Jones obviously found some inspiration to add layers of humanity...

This whole foofaraw is almost like DKL just wanted to prove your point from another thread that sometimes he just blurts stuff out in interviews without thinking.N. Needleman wrote:The right thing to do.

Re: The Random Twin Peaks Thread
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but I haven’t seen it mentioned here: Russ Tamblyn is working on a memoir which sounds pretty interesting.
