Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Here Comes That Bob wrote:Did anyone notice Franz Kafka portrait in Gordon Cole's office?

I guess Lynch is paying a homage to his idol.
No, I didn't, but Lynch filming "Der Process" or "Das Schloss" from Kafka would be so incredible and matching.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

I think my biggest problem with the new show is the disconnect. Which I wasn't expecting. One thing about the original show that made me love it so much was the emotional connection. To the characters, town, music. Even in the second half of season 2 when the storyline wasn't as strong, I still lov...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

I'm surprised nobody mamaged it, but I think Lynch's acting in the last scene with Albert was his best performance yet. Really liked the hunted look of his blue eyes.

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread

To me parts 1 & 2 felt like Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead and Twin Peaks in a very large, twisted blender. That's a very, very good thing by the way  Did anyone notice how Lynch managed to shoot the most filmed city in the World (NYC) and somehow make it seem unsettling as hell with just on...

Jerry Horne wrote:That scene with Wally is a new low in the Twin Peaks Universe. Embarrassing.
Robert Forster just killed it in that scene.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

The longer I think about these first four hours, the better they are. Just brilliant. Two Coopers out there and the world seems to be out of sync.

The end of episode 4 was great. Lynch is so messing with us. I fucking love it.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

That Michael Cera scene was something else. I can't decide if it was a brilliant piece of sustained Tim-And-Eric style anti-comedy or just utterly terrible. I'm leaning toward terrible at the moment, but it also feels like the sort of thing that might win me over several years from now. The one rec...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)

Wow. Episode 3 is completely off the rails. Either Lynch has gotten insane or this turns out to be the greatest thing ever to happen on tv.

The visuals looked a bit strange and indeed some things were over explained, but boy, did I loved it.

Re: Watching Season 3 Around the World

Anybody else out there going to watch this on Nowtv UK? I am ready to go but cannot see any info on where to click yet. It just has the first two seasons and the phenomenon bits. Same here in Germany with my Sky on Demand. Nothing to be seen as of now. I fear they'll fuck up the start at 3 am as th...

Yes. I want this to be very dark and disturbing. Twin Peaks was always strongest in the darkest parts of it's journey.

Re: 18 hours- will it turn out to be too long?

I also think that this is the biggest question. Otherwise Lynch turned Eraserhead from a 22 page script into a 90 minute movie and shot Inland Empire without script. So I can easily imagining that Lynch can turn a script sentence like "a man is in a room" into a wildly hypnotic 10 minute s...
