Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Looking back on it all, I think the plot and acting of the original Twin Peaks wasn't all that great either (to me anyway), in fact it was probably pretty average at best. But what elevated it to something great was: 1. the beautiful way they filmed it, with beautiful locations and a beautiful ward...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I've tried writing this post three or four different times, but my words always end up becoming some sort of weird mush because of all the different ways I feel about this series. I actually loved it very much, yet still feel disappointed with it. And the reasons for that feeling are contradictory a...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

Besides my thank you post a few pages back, I had planned on only reading this thread until the whole show was over because some of the later parts made me appreciate earlier parts more, but Part 16 has left me with a feeling that I want to put out there and I don't have anyone else to talk to this ...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)

I just wanted to pop in and say I am extremely thankful for this thread and to mlsstwrt for creating it. I know it was not created as a place for discussion, but as a haven for those who are profoundly disappointed with The Return. Yet, I feel(with the exception of a few posts here and there) it has...

Re: S3: Make Your Peace Now with the Ending You Dread (SPOILERS)

I don't actually dread endings in general because I am more interested in the journey than the final destination, at least with television. I feel a movie ending being bad has a much larger chance of ruining an experience than does a show. Longform television and storytelling, to me, feels like a ro...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (Spoilers)

What a thing this was. An imperfect thing, but a thing with lots to love that, for me, overall outweighed a few disappointments. Was it Twin Peaks in the way a lot of people compartmentalize and remember it? Not so much, and I feel that was both the most advantageous and disadvantageous thing about ...

Re: The Collector's Corner

Just got the original key art piece from the graphic novel pitch by Matt Haley! Only unfurled and removed from the tube and plastic sheath for a photo, and now it sits while I wait to accumulate some funding for framing.

It's possible he just read an outline, or Bob Engels read it and Lynch didn't.

This only in case that he himself has become a deity of sorts in his own right - otherwise they would not let him show face, he is trapped in blackness inside the lodge if not fully eradicated, and alive on the outside. And even if it's the former, who knows which way that could have gone, the phot...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks

It is possible that their first arrival in our dimension and occupation of the Lodge(s) began in the 50's, but since the Lodges are out of time, they could exist at any point in time after entering. Leading to them always being around. I'd assume someone from the 1700's, or earlier, who found their...
