Re: Gender in Twin Peaks: The Return (SPOILERS)
Lucy shot Mr. C but as someone else said it's kind of a joke, we are still laughing at Lucy and the ridiculousness of the situation because of her incompetence. Punchline? And now she gets cell phones. Here was my immediate take when Lucy said "I get cell phones now!" -- and I need a rewa...

Re: Annie and Dale
I'd throw out there Annie could've been a tulpa all this time. Except unlike Janey-E meeting Dougie-The-Tulpa sometime after his creation, unawares -- Norma would've remembered her little sister's birth. Still, there was always a quality to Annie's existence in TPS2, which some have mentioned in rel...

Re: Richard and Linda, Lynch's Masterstroke (SPOILERS)
" Two birds, one stone" was how Cooper had apparently described his goals to Cole at some point off-screen during the events of the original series. From my reading, the "two birds" are either saving Laura Palmer or solving her mystery, and defeating the enigmatic Judy at the ce...

Re: List of all the unsolved mysteries (SPOILERS)
Coop wasn't ever back entirely this season at all it seems. His real self is the dreamer. That explains what he's been up to the last 25 years being gone from earth and how it's affected him. This is almost beginning to make sense to me. After all, what WAS he doing over a period of time like 25 ye...

Re: Part 17 - The past dictates the future (SPOILERS)
Did the jail drunk peel off a wound in the same place Rodney Mitchum did? That's a really good observation. And that is one character (among many), merely called "The Drunk" in credits, right? whose purpose will gall me not knowing what it was. He appeared several times. Some here specula...

...I'll still be here. Although I'm not very active, I visit this website a lot and always enjoy reading your posts. Agreed on Novalis, and I've enjoyed your posts too Saela! So many others as well.. I couldn't keep the usernames straight at times. I remembered yours using "Sailor" (from ...

...and also I don't believe in a million years Laura Palmer is a 'good guy' character. Yes. she was flawed. Yes, she was abused and damaged by her father Leland but really even in a different dimension she had a dead-guy on her couch. She was coked up. She was a fun loving prostitute....but I agree...

Re: The "We live inside a dream" theory
I'd been saying this... well, mostly to myself but - - on the occasions when some characters' behavior felt out of sync or they acted irrational (Shelley one minute consoling her daughter w/ Bobby, next minute breaking her embrace of Becky to run to her lover as if whatever preceded Red's arrival ha...

Re: Part 18 - What is your name? (SPOILERS)
Because there was so little actual dialogue in between the empty silences -- what was spoken stands out. I'm thinking how the waitress told Coop "It's her third day off." Should that mean anything.. And of course, how long had the dude dead from a gunshot to the head in Laura/ Carrie's hou...

In a way, I felt like Agent Desmond *was* there in spirit. The words "What a wicked thing to do / to make me feel this way" continued to echo in my mind as I watched the finale.

That's what I was seeing, Sheryl Lee. As someone else posted: low light and shadows, why not have Lee in wig so it's her voice we're hearing.TwinsPeak wrote:I'm pretty sure in the woods is new footage with Sheryl Lee in a wig dressed as young Laura.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Trolling the audience... That sums it up pretty good. I had the feeling he must have hated Twin Peaks (and the fans as well) very much, I can't think of another explanation for Part 18. Use of the word "trolling" w/r/t the effect L/F was having on some viewers of TP:TR generated some &quo...

Well, on the bright side - - Lucy showed up as a female character with agency!!
Otherwise -- disappointed, as before, only not quite. Trolling the audience... you gotta hand it to Lynch/Frost, they've made THAT into an art form~

Cooper retains enough of his super special healing powers - - like when as DougieCoop he used somehow to make Rodney's abrasion inflictd by Candie disappear magically from his face - - to heal Sheriff Harry of unspecified illness/ affliction. A laying-on-of-hands: like with Anthony! He then deems it...

Re: General Discussion on the New Series (All Opinions Welcome) (SPOILERS)
I keep hearing this term 'artistic failure' thrown around, so I tried to look up the definition, and I found this interesting tidbit: T.S. Eliot considers one of the most famous and revered plays of all time, Hamlet, to be an 'artistic failure'. So I guess it's just so totally subjective. Maybe 200...
