You know, when watching Blue Velvet again recently, I was surprised how much it has in common with Twin Peaks. Shots of logging trucks, and a "wood" thing happening. Little stuff.
And of course, the scenes with the women in blue light singing onstage in front of a red curtain.

Those idiots at Universal have been sitting on the transfer for years. It might be worth doing some sort of petition or email campaign to get it released. If you have a Region Free DVD player, I would highly suggest the R2 MK2 DVD. The transfer is quite nice. -B I got an R2 copy on eBay at a decent...

I was a big fan of the books, and of Herbert's other work, So when I heard about Lynch directing Dune, and about the money being spent and other aspects of the production, I had high hopes. But I was terribly disappointed. It's been many years since I read the book now, or have seen the film, it's a...

Well, when the switch-over happens you will still be able to get free television (the major networks, PBS, local stations, etc). Digital broadcasts can be picked up via a digital antenna, just like your tv now can pick up off-air signals. By 2009, all new tvs will need to have built-in digital reci...

Well, if our off-topic section were working right, I'd say we should go there to discuss this, but it's not... I really hated the SciFi version. I was totally biased after seeing DL's Dune. And although I know he hates even thinking about it now, it was still a great movie and what got me started o...

It may be the down mix to stereo, but I can't say for sure. On my surround system, everything is at a good level. Dialouge is clear. I use a surround system and noticed the soundtrack overpowering the dialogue coming from the center speaker, so I had to adjust the volume up on that channel. Then ve...

Looking for verifiable info on Pilot first release/screening
I've heard many different things about the pilot. I'm now searching for authoritative information on when the pilot was first seen by the public across the globe. Word has it that people in Europe saw it long before it aired on American television. I'm working on submitting info for a page on the &q...

The thing that has me really perplexed is when Albert tells them the time of night Maddy was murdered was between 10 and Midnight and then Harry says, still suspecting Ben to be the killer, that it fits because they arrested Ben after Midnight. There are a few problems with Harry saying they arreste...
