I spent countless hours on this universe, only to finally get a middle finger from its creators. Part 18 destroyed Twin Peaks, wether it is a dream, a parallel universe or a pocket dimension. I think some anger is justified.OrsonWelles wrote:All the anger. It's weird.

Re: David Lynch should not get away by declaring TP as a "dream"
Fans are arguing all over the internet that TP is not a dream because it would be lazy. Therefore, since Lynch is a genius, he wouldn't film anything so cheap, despite all the suggestions and clues pointing in that direction . Try to convince me that it isn't a dream by using in-universe logic. Don'...

People are claiming that Sarah ate the frog-insect and at the same time they are claiming that she is Judy. Pick one, both are incompatible.

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
Each writer doing his own thing would explain why the show seems so disjointed. "OK, MARK, YOU WRITE THAT STUFF ABOUT BLUE ROSE CASES AND I'LL WRITE THE SEQUENCES WITH AUDREY HORNE". It seems like the show is switching between two moods: the sci-fi X-Files exposition dump (Mark Frost's) an...

I always understood 'far away' as being both phisically away from Twin Peaks (e.g. in deep space) and away from achieving his final goal (whatever that is). So The Fireman is teleporting him back, closer to his destiny.

Why would Mr. C. care about the waitress? In fact, that ridiculous and time-wasting scene with the three cowboys is there to make clear that he is not the doppleganger.

Cooper clearly uses Jeffries as a time machine. It's right there. He even tells him the exact date.poodlerottweiler wrote:Alternate Time Line/Flashpoint comic book logic which I don't buy for one second as neither TP or any other of Lynch's works have ever hinted at time travel

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The point of a mystery is that one has the feeling it is solvable somehow. This, exactly this. Anyone can write a mystery if it doesn't have to have a solution. Anyone can build a puzzle if it doesn't have to be solvable. It doesn't matter where Cooper and Laura ended up, it doesn't matter who Rich...

Lynch made his last major film 17 years ago. Frost's career is weak; his Wikipedia page is brief and depressing (he co-wrote those awful Fantastic Four films, for instance).
Of course they wanted/needed the money.

Has a filmmaker/artist ever returned successfully to one of his works from his younger days? Tolkien. I don't think he counts. He never left the realm of middle earth as an artist, so he didn't have to come back. He remained there throughout his life, he was always there and it was his life work. I...
