I really like all of TP. Its weird digressions and seemingly pointless, quirky plotlines are part of its charm!

I'd subscribe like a shot! Think about it: maybe release 10 mins a week. After six weeks, you have an hour. Make the 'episodes' available for download, so we can keep them on DVD or stream them and make them available to buy on DVD from the site and we'd all be happy! Rather than having a massive, o...

'On the internet . . .' It's an interesting idea. I really like the Battlestar Galactica webisodes released to promote season three and Razor. A short TP episode once a week, building into a bigger narrative could be marvellous. David Lynch could run it on his website and periodically release storie...

Re: the Kimmy Robertson remarks: I guess we weren't there, working on the show, though! I've had jobs before that I started out enthused by, which turned out dreadfully later on. I've come away from one such job with several co-workers as good friends but, right now, have little good left to say abo...

It boils town to how you look at it: for me, the movie was about Laura, but the series was because of Laura and about the people of the town. Laura's death was the cause and the show documented the effects on the characters who knew her and the ripple effect her death had on more and more people. La...

Lynch works by gut feeling: he's a great improviser. Unfortunately, in a high-speed, commercial TV environment, turning up to direct the odd episode and throwing out the script, making up something completely different, throws the next several shows out of whack. I'm fascinated to know how the Audre...

All well and good, but I still don't see how a bunch of people who really like this oddball little TV show and want some more are 'pretentious.' I won't slag off David Lynch EVER (did anyone hear him on BBC Radio 4 this morning with Donovan, btw?) as I massively respect him. But even if he only got ...

Well, the idea of people saying 'Don't make any more because it's art, daaaarling!' about an ABC TV show that used to have commercial breaks in it is also absurd and pretentious to many of us, so just accept we all have divergences of opinion and that they make the world more interesting! ;) TP was ...

kingsoprano718, don't forget the bit where Sylvester Stallone storms the Black Lodge in the A-Team's van and machine guns the inhabitants! ;) People seem to have a gobsmacking lack of faith in the creators and original contributors to the Twin Peaks myth. I can understand why people might worry abou...

That would be a shame: while Lynch's influence was felt throughout, many other talented people contributed to making TP a joy to watch.

I'd actually favour a made-for-cable miniseries with a DVD/HDDVD/Bluray release that isn't cut for TV schedules. Kyle MacLachlan can play BOB, with his hair dyed grey, if the character appears. I think TP deserves one last blast at the visual medium. Resolve the cliffhangers, but deepen the mysterie...

Red Room, I'm shocked and really hurt by what you've said. Our experiences and opinions of Lynch's stuff sound pretty much similar. But on a discussion forum, one expects to put points forward and back them up with reasons. What's the point of going to a discussion forum, stating your opinion then h...
