Re: BBC Philharmonic does the TP:FWWM Theme
Thank you so much! These are some of the finest and most defining moments of music in my life. I'm also huge fan for Mr. Mark Kermode, who was the presenter and one of the chief makers of this special. Sadly I missed the show itself. The only thing left missing for me was Sycamore Trees but of cours...

Re: See You In 25 Years
I have to say that it would be wonderful if they would return to world of Twin Peaks, but of course only with Lynch at helm. I actually think that it would do nice to him to get little more lighthearted and silly like he did with the show. I think that I've seen enough serious darkness from him for ...

Re: "Do your palms ever itch?" All things Audrey
This interview made me think about those young actresses of Twin Peaks. I find it funny that Donna really seems like only main character that was originally created. Shelly, Audrey and Maddy (and of course Laura too, remember that she was originally supposed to be only a dead body) were all created ...

Did I just saw Man in the Planet??
Hi, I was just watching an interview of philosopher Daniel Dennet from youtube (it was originally from Big Thinkers TV-show). And suddenly about 2:30 I saw something very familiar! Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0wetQwH9nY Wiki informed me that the material used on the background was ...

Re: Lynch to direct third installment of Christian Dior ads
I have to say I was disappointed. Now it was only a commercial but still... There was too much self referential stuff from his career that felt like it was just thrown in as a trademark or brand. It had nice feeling especially in the beginning and that questioning was hilariously bizarre. But when t...

Re: Twin Peaks Opening Credits
Here in Finland the first commercial break comes in about 15 minutes after the show has started, so we had all the titles in one row. I always thought that all titles that had this golden reddish tint and the flowing water of the river belonged to opening credits. And Sheryl Lee is mentioned on thos...

Re: Guitar?
Yes, the other guy was Eddy Dixon! Interesting controversy there as Vinnie Bell's site also tells that he played on that theme Well, maybe there were more versions recorded. On both TP soundtrack and Julee Cruise's Into the night they are both credited as guitarists.

Re: Guitar?
There were couple of guitarists involved with Lynch/Badalamenti productions at that time, I only remember one of them: it was Vinnie Bell, a session guitarist who has quite a discography if you check his site http://www.vinniebell.com/ if I recall right he was more prominent on the soundtrack. BTW I...

Re: Mystery Man?
I feel that they are similar, but there is one difference. Or should I say that his character is evolved from Twin Peaks, through FWWM. While in Twin Peaks BOB is clearly demonic force that is responsible for Leland's evil deeds while he is just another victim. During FWWM Leland is showed to partic...

Double Ed's magic trick
I have seen BV numerous times but last night I watched it once again. And I suddenly realized how blind double Ed made his magic trick, you know the way he knew how many fingers Jeffrey was holding up. Man, it was so simple. The other double Ed (who isn't blind) taps the answer secretly to his shoul...

Re: My take on INLAND EMPIRE
Heh. I think they are talking english because those "hellos" sound like polish actor speaking english :) But I have to admit that I'm not too familiar with polish language (apart from few good films) so maybe they say hello like that. Also in MTTH where we have this quite unusual wa...

Re: My take on INLAND EMPIRE
Are you sure it is english? Sorry, you lost me there? What are you referring to? Was my writing so uncomprehensible? Sorry if that was the case. I wasn't aiming for literature, just trying to give some food for thought to those who are familiar with the film.. I just revisited this thing bec...

Re: My take on INLAND EMPIRE
Ok, I thought I should rewrite my ponderings as the original text was actually very bad. So here it is in hopefully better form: Lost Girl had a tragedy in Poland. She probably killed another woman. This horrible event (whatever it really was) took place in that stone gateway, on that polish street ...

Re: My take on INLAND EMPIRE
Holy batman! We have more proof about this (well at least it fits nicely)! On IMDB board about IE there is a writer called milkdudrct3 and he discovered that when LG, Smithy and their son reunite in the end, we hear her calling man Smithy (this I didn't catch) and him calling her Sue! I could hear t...

Re: Three questions about MD
IT just occured to me little while ago that MD is really funny in one way: Lynch has always been great "dream" director, from Eraserhead to IE, yet MD that is his most "dream" film, wasn't originally a dream. So it doesn't have all the stuff that Lynch has in his intentional drea...
