Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

The second season of Wayward Pines got surprisingly good toward the end. I'm glad I stuck with it.

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

The one downside of these signings is that we buy the book twice, or we wait longer until our events to get it.

I may just do the audio upon release and then read it after the signing... But then again do I want to paw through the signed copy? Decisions, decisions...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Mark Frost's book tour dates up soon. New York! 10/20 Minneapolis! 10/22 Los Angeles! 10/24 San Fransisco! 10/25 Portland! 10/27 Seattle! 10/29 San Francisco here I come! I wonder how early I'll have to get there to line up. It's a 4 hour drive. Edit: per Mark Frost's retweet the San Francisco one ...

Re: 'The Secret History of Twin Peaks' novel by M. Frost 10/18

Some quick thoughts: 1. Shame about the date. Was really hoping for 2014. Oh well. 2. If Norma's parents' last name is Lindstrom, where does Blackburn come in? 3. The Log Lady's maiden name appears to be Coulson, which is nice. But that tattoo is actually Major Briggs' tattoo, NOT Margaret's. Sigh ...

Throwing a vote in for The Night Of. It's a slow burner for sure but completely engrossing.

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

Stranger Things on Netflix is incredible and has some Peaks similarities in tone and in story (although this is far more blatantly scifi than peaks). It's like Stephen King, Stephen Speilberg, and Twin Peaks had a beautiful and strange little baby.

For some reason the possibility of a book tour never occurred to me. That would be amazing.

The live album is incredible. Fantastic recording quality and performances. The cd has all 16 tracks that were listed for the Vinyl release (cause I was scared it could be an shortened recording for the book).

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

True Detective (first season) Fargo (both seasons) Gilmore Girls (all seasons) I know, I know. One of these is not like the other. But if you enjoy the silly, quirky, small town aspect of Twin Peaks, you'll love Gilmore Girls. The show focuses on the best mother daughter relationship of all time (o...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

Bates Motel. On paper, a modern day Psycho prequel from the network who brought you Duck Dynasty sounds horrifying, but it's not. It's an utterly fantastic show featuring 2 of the greatest tv performances of all time (in my humble opinion). It also has a Pacific Northwest setting that reminded me of...
