Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)
Yes, a great episode. So many wonderful name checks: Harold Smith, Annie Blackburne, Audrey Horne, the Renault family (they've owned the Roadhouse all this time?). Loved seeing more of the Great Northern. Is that Josie in the walls? Can I get some credit? I think I'm the only one that suggested tha...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The best thing about Season 3 is that it's kept so hidden very well. Nothing can beat a fresh surprise. What a blessing it is: not knowing anything. Damn. Got myself spoiled yesterday. :? Something that I probably knew but had forgotten but read again in context and I'm sure is happening. Oh well.....

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I'm disappointed in so many things with this show, but the intro is at the bottom of the list. I think the shot of that same old Laura photo is cheesy. I also don't like the emphasis on the Black Lodge. That should be something that's hidden, mysterious, not shoved in your face every episode. I agr...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)
I won't go on a tangent but I really liked the previous episodes 1,2 ,3,4 (to slightly some lesser extent 4 but it wasn't terrible) but I LOVED episode 6. It was fucking amazing. Fully Lynch. Fully Frost. Fully baggage from fan theories and interpretations.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
Another topic that has´t been mentioned yet: In the scene where we first see Gordon & Albert at Philadelphia FBI headquarters gathered in a meeting, Albert is telling Gordon about a brutal murder commited by a man against his wife. He tells this man says he´s innocent and that he knows who real...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
So I watched ep 3 + 4 last night, didn't want to binge watch the show so I'm going at the same rate as the broadcast. The interview with Cole and the long-lost agent Cooper was really tense and the best thing so far. This really does feel like a FWWM sequel in terms of mood. Couldn't be happier wit...

Re: POLL! Your reaction to Twin Peaks: The Return, pts. 1 through 4 (SPOILERS)
It's a mixed bag but no doubt it's the first alternative- It should been split btw, no reason to not separate 'like' and 'love' in a poll (even if it of course would have made it more difficult for me to answer). I really like parts 1 and 2 and think they are more carefully edited than 3 and especia...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
I'm also worried that Frost's heavy-handed writing may suck some of the ominous mystique out of the otherworldly dialogue by making it a little too scrutable, lacking that mysterious, alien riddle quality so much of that speech feels like it carries in the series and in FWWM. EDIT: Like his "R...

Re: Parts 1 + 2 (SPOILERS)
Does anyone believe there is more to that insurance agent in episode 1? I found his whole delivery strange and not just Lynch strange.... Then he randomly leaves without answering Lucy's questions. Could it simply just be a Lynchian quirk or could there be deeper meaning to not answering her questi...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
One thing that still bugs me a bit is the coldness of Bad Coop. He seems too emotionless. He kills people with a gun. I like that he hits with his fist, straight to the face. That's brutal to me. That's terrifying to watch. That's what Leland did to Maddy too. But to shoot his victims with a gun do...

Re: Twin Peaks Return: The Profoundly Disappointed Support Group (SPOILERS)
The only thing that actually bothers me, so far, is the lack of music in all scenes. Sure, many themes were majorly overplayed in the original but the stark silence has been tough to overcome. It makes every scene feel like we are watching a stage play. I didn't sign up for a stage play. Sent from ...

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (Spoilers)
I cannot say the same. To me Chrysta Bell had by far the worst acting performance so far, alongside the actress who played Phyllis. Suprisingly I had a big change of heart with Wally Brando scene. After initially hating it, I thought it was histerical on a rewatch. "My dharma is the road. Your...

Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Don't get me wrong- I want this thing to succeed badly. I want Showtime to be rewarded for the risk they took in giving Lynch essentially what we wanted. Hear hear. Also there's a selfish aspect to it for me. If this fails financially it doesn't bode well for the future of television. But if it doe...
