Re: Deer Meadow Shuffle now available at Davidlynch.com!
That is outstanding. The next track can't possibly beat that, can it?

Re: davidlynch.com is now David Lynch Music Company
It wasn't working on Chrome to begin with, but then it was taken down, and once back up it was working no problem. Maybe they're working their way through the browsers as they encounter problems. If so though, they probably should have done that before making it public... Music's fab though. Been wa...

Lynch reference in Limmy's Show?
I've been banging on about Limmy's Show for ages now. It's a comedy show on BBC Two Scotland that, in my opinion, has blown every other British comedy show out of the water in the last 12 months. Series 2 is on telly now, but watching series 1 again I came across this sketch: K_2bYZ9RIYM Elephant Ma...

Re: davidlynch.com is now David Lynch Music Company
I'm going to say something that might sound a tad controversial. I think Good Day Today is dreadful. I made better tracks in Dance eJay when I was thirteen. And they were awful. It goes nowhere, says nothing, and is derivative of the worst recesses of dance music. Sounds like a Eric Prydz demo knock...

Re: FANTASIA BLURAY
A film made over 70 years ago should not look as good on blu-ray as Fantasia does. It's the best "classic" transfer I've seen since 2001: A Space Odyssey. Quite remarkable.

Re: Ren and stimpy's 'i love log' commercials
I doubt it was TP pilfered. John K is (or certainly was) far too creative to do that. I heard somewhere that during his time on Ren and Stimpy he had a rule for the animators to never use the same facial expression twice. Doubt he succeeded, but it's a bold gambit nonetheless.

Re: Julee Cruise - Falling (Demo) in here, yeah?
Ah, sorry about the dead link. Normally I'd host files on my own web-space, but given this is copyrighted material (albeit material that was only ever released on an industry-only 7" record, nearly twenty years ago) I didn't want to worry about potential writs. Hopefully there are enough copies...

Wonder Showzen. Funniest programme of the last 10 years.
Brass Eye. Funniest programme of the 10 years before that.

Mark Linkous commits suicide
Very sad news for DNOTS/Sparklehorse fans...

Ironically this comes just after the news that DNOTS is finally set to be released properly:

Gold Box question (PAL regions)
I know Region 2's not out yet, but given Regions 2 and 4 are all but identical, both being PAL... What's the speed like on the PAL Gold Box? I've just rewatched some episodes on the old Playback S1 set and they seem considerably faster compared to the Region 1 videos. I know the framerates are diffe...

Re: Fire Walk With Me - First impressions
There was a period of about a year where I just couldn't watch it, as I was far too depressed. As for the first time... I was taken by just how much darker it was to the series. Seems obvious to say it now, but it caught me completely off guard back then. A good film, but much more sinister. In fact...

Re: John Waters Fans
I think that link pretty much answers your question - he wants to work on his art and writing. He doesn't have to retire, but he wants to. Seems fair enough to me; I'm sure Hairspray alone means he's rich enough to afford it. And given his standard rate of production, it's going to be a few years be...

Ah well. At least we know. For the terminally disappointed amongst you, give Tate a ring on 020 7887 8888 (go for option 1), explain the situation and they'll give you a freepost address to send your tickets back to. You should get a refund back directly if you've paid by card. Obviously if you went...
