Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime

The only time that annoys me is when someone tries to tout their thing as superior when it isn't...Or when people say something is superior to the original when it's kludgily cut together. You're basically just saying "I get annoyed when people prefer things that I don't!" in a less immed...

Re: Fell a victim

I painstakingly watched and rewatched that scene to interpret every line, motion, sound, etcetera (a process I truly, deeply enjoyed)...And my interpretation of that line is a command/suggestion that BOB take a new victim.

Re: Who eats garmonbozia?

In Lynch's world, "as above, so below" - the supernatural goings-on always have some relevance/correspondence to the spirituality & behavior of the human characters. This is what I have trouble figuring out with Mike. I think this is where I tend to part ways with most. I'm out to int...

Re: Leland's death/Bob

I don't doubt that in Windom's mad obsession and pursuit of the Black Lodge, he may have had some manner of contact with BOB in one form of another. Indeed, maybe Windom's obsession came about due to BOB temporarily inhabiting him at some unknown point in the past. If Cooper is among the specialized...

Re: Who eats garmonbozia?

And the nature of Leland/Bob's abuse of Laura is also too intense and traumatizing for her to linger over; instead it encourages her to block out the full picture and even try to become the abuser herself. Meanwhile, Bob's entire modus operandi with Leland is to encourage him NOT to feel pain and s...

Re: Favorite episodes (and directors) of Twin Peaks

If you'd like a 'mockery' that does get it, Psych did a pretty great Twin Peaks send-up. :) Yes - the Dual Spires episode is plenty fun. ;-) "...a little something to hold us over until Showtime [2016]." At the 27-second mark: http://youtu.be/ID15ASgv3aU ...Nice. I actually only rec...

Re: Above the convenience store: Scene Analysis

I've delved headlong back into Twin Peaks since the big announcement but it's this scene that I keep replaying. ... Enjoyed reading this. I especially liked the notion of Pierre being a bit "above" the Grandmother (despite the age difference, she does usually seem to be tagging along with...

Re: Who eats garmonbozia?

Sufficient fear causes and indeed can be indistinguishable from pain and sorrow. Is being routinely raped not painful or a cause for sorrow? Does a victim of such things not feel pain and sorrow and fear on a regular basis? I think they both do indeed feed on garmonbozia. BOB's feeding on "fear...

Above the convenience store: Scene Analysis

I've delved headlong back into Twin Peaks since the big announcement but it's this scene that I keep replaying. Who are these people, what are they talking about, why are they meeting, what is their deal ? ...And just what on Earth are they doing above a 7-11?! Questions, theories, and just an overa...

I must be a lesser fan than all of you because aside from obvious Lynch-involved episodes like the finale, I don't know who directed what.

Re: Season Two: A Retrospective

Also one last note (man, I love this subject - thanks for starting this thread!)... As I've discovered lately (I was too young to watch it at the time), recent media accounts - of the reveal killing the show - are revisionist. There was a spike and dropoff around the reveal, to be sure, but the ove...

Re: Let's talk about MIKE

1) Every time MIKE appears, he is in the form of Philip Gerard, the one-armed man, rather than showing a "true face" like BOB inside of Leland. The Little Man From Another place identifies himself as "the Arm". Is this meant to mean that the LMFAP is what's left of MIKE's "...
