Re: Missing More Things? Or not?

Hey,This is my first post, so I hope I'm doing this properly. I hope I'm not missing out here, but in many different lists of the special features of Inland Empire R1, it clearly lists 90 mins of Deleted scenes and More Things That Happened seperately. But I can only find the More Things feature. A...

The cover art for the UK release is much better than the R1 edition. As much as I love my R1 DVD (which is quite frankly manna from heaven) the cover looks like it was printed on an inkjet printer. The design's beautiful but badly executed and to make matters worse a security sticker had been place...

DVDBEAVER now has a comparison between R1 and the UK R2 http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDReviews32/inland_empire.htm Is it just me or does the Region 2 release appear to have a much better image? Better contrast and detail. To my eyes, and on my computer monitor, it's just brighter. I think that's...

I just watched the end of this last night. My guess on the bird sounds is the same as why when he's explaining Laura's motivations to her he actually whispers part of it: he doesn't want to give anything away thematically. The documentary is supposed to show Lynch working but NOT explaining parts o...

Any thoughts on the portion of Lynch 2 where something David is saying is bleeped (actually birds chirping sound)? He's talking to William H. Macy and is describing Diane Ladd's role and says something like, "there's this host and she's ____________, and you'll be the announcer..." Wonder ...

well, i'll be interested to see (when my US copy of IE eventually shows up) if Lynch 2 is really composed of shots from Lynch 1, or contains any extra material... Thanks for the info. I'll be disappointed if Lynch 1 includes scenes from Lynch 2. I thought Lynch 2 was it's own thing. Although it sou...

Ooh, and I bought some Quinoa, so I'll let you know how it is later; Emeril used it on a recent special show in South Beach in Miami. The Quinoa is a South American grain; mine's from Bolivia. I kind of wanted to try it until I came to the conlcusion that it's probably a lot like couscous. My wife ...

Re: Inland Empire Easter Egg

If you're using a DVD player, there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the rabbit symbol (I tried every direction with every option selected). But you can still get to the scene. It's Title 2 on the disc so just start the feature and then navigate to title 2 with your remote (this will work a bit d...

Happy (for now) Dune is the only Lynch film I've never seen. As I am in the midst of one of my strongest Lynch-phases ever, I have felt recently (for the first time) that I have to see it. Anyway, I was able to buy a copy online for $4 today. Now, whether I'll be happy after watching the movie may b...

The yahoo search result abstract for inlandempirecinema.com reads, "Official site for the movie Inland Empire, which is directed by David Lynch and includes three entirely unique plots, including one about an actress who lands a part ..." I'd like to know what the rest of that statement sa...

If I remember correctly, its origin is in the Rabbits series. I'll watch INLAND EMPIRE again to see if it appears in other contexts. My guess would be that it is mainly an aspect of creating a mood (I personally love that sound, it sounds typically (film-)American to my ears. I've recently heard th...

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. What does that scene contribute to the plot?

I agree. My least favorite scene in the movie.

I also really enjoyed "more things...". I loved the watch scene and the scene with the woman telling Nikki about meeting the man (the phantom?)and going to a hotel. I could have done without the scene with the prostitutes on the street though. That did nothing for me. The hover disc scene ...

In reading through all of the theories on the different boards, I don't think I've seen any reference to the train whistle that sounds several times throughout the film. I really noticed it in my third and fourth viewings (on DVD after seeing it twice in the theater). I feel it must have some signif...
