Re: Eric DaRe (Leo Johnson)
I will point out that the one time Windom Earle is somewhat scary: the black lips/white face scene in ep 28, not by lynch, but that makeup associated with the black lodge was used in FWWM. I think he found a more disturbing aspect to the character. It does seem notable, though, that from the origina...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31
LOL. My point is, no one has seen it, and the only reason people care so much is the original series. If it was a brand new show, there would be interest, but not on this level. Seriously, the level of detailed speculation is overwhelming.Rainwater wrote:It's not?

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31
There are plenty of examples to show that getting the right people involved, many years after the fact, does not guarantee something as good as the original. There is a lot that contributes to the greatness of something, including factors that are not so easily repeatable. The original series is fla...

Re: 'Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier' Novel by Mark Frost 10/31
The reason why it's ridiculous that some people are already expressing that they wouldn't want more "Twin Peaks" after this season, is that many people had the same stance before season 3 was announced. They were scared that the legacy would be tarnished and that it would impact their lov...

"The Final Dossier" - If I didn't know better I would say he's trolling!

Re: Great New GQ Lynch/TP Interview
"it's his history of Twin Peaks" and Frost hasn't seen the series yet?! I am much more hopeful now that the book reflects very little on the series.

Re: The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (Audiobook)
The biggest problem with the diary is BOB, that little gabster just can't get enough of the sound of his own voice.

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Norma change and Miss Twin Peaks change all point to Annie doesn't exist anymore. I am very pleased that Lynch didn't read the book, though. Why does that fact make you happy? Just out of interest..... It means that the book is 100% Frost's take on the mythology, and Lynch had no input at all. It o...

Re: SPOILERS: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
Norma's mother I can live with, the Vivian subplot is of minimal consequence. But, if they intend to forget Annie existed, I call BS on that. She's the reason Cooper went in the Black Lodge, she was in FWWM! What are we supposed to believe about those stories? If they are going to change the past, t...

Re: unanswered questions / mistakes / etc.
Even if she didn't know Annie was taken, Annie was onstage, and she clearly didn't check up on her afterward to make sure she was ok. It's a continuity error. I think they just made Annie Norma's sister as a contrivance to get her working at the RR, they didn't actually want to explore that relation...

Re: A few question regarding the storyline
The drugging scene in FWWM implies that Sarah was complicit. Leland gently forces her to drink, and she sees the horse. I think she knew she was being drugged and willingly ignored it. I don't think the series supports this view, but the series has a different view of Leland as well.

Re: Twin Peaks: Season Three confirmed for 2016 on Showtime
One more vote against fan edits, fan fiction, fan any-contribution. If Lynch and Frost want to reedit season 2, I'll accept that, though I have reservations about that as well. I think it's best that they just cope with what they did originally, for better or worse. Think Nikki and Paulo.

Re: What if the mystery had never been solved?
I just don't buy that Maddy wanting to go back home was such a big deal, surely she had visited before and left with no problem? Not since Laura's death, however... So there was a unique void that her departure would leave this time. (Edit: Not that I don't appreciate your incredulity!) But, you kn...
