Biotron, thank you for the kind comments. I am glad your friend likes the record. I perform some of it in my live shows and it seems to go over well. Discjunkie, while David and I have recorded dozens of pieces, there will not be another 'BlueBOB' album. That was the title of the project, not necess...

Hi; I can set the record straight. The Box Set sold on DL.com was from an initial order of 5,000. Not all were sold, and there will be no others. It was the private release and did not have the video for, "Thank You, Judge!". The Soulitude Records standard CD did not have the video on it. ...

That seems a lot like the stuff we did for the website, and it is definitely Emily's voice as female narrator. Listen to "Boat" and you will see.
Interesting.

He had Leica and Canon 35mm cameras, though the shots on the site were shot before I worked with him. He now shoots only digital.

I remember talking to him about that when we did the DVD and I think he said it was a mixture of Plus X (ASA125) and some Tri-X (ASA400) Eastman stock.

Well, thanks for the compliment, but when Twin Peaks was made, I was living in Maui and owned a studio with Walter Becker from Steely Dan. I had heard of David Lynch, but had probably only seen "Dune" at that point. There's another whole story about that - the "Dune"/Frank Herber...

Well a new Avid system was part of the deal, and Mary was going to be editing the film and the DVD on the Avid. But Dave got going on FCP as we were shooting scenes, and he decided to edit the film himself.

"Sunset Boulevard" is probably David's favorite film. It is the first film we ran at the studio when it was new, and Billy Wilder was invited. Being that he was 90 at the time, he declined. There is another Sunset Blvd. reference in Mulholland Drive. The gate Betty goes through is the same...

Leo F. you have great comments and a good insight into all this. Good to meet you. You might be right about the 'baked' files for the film transfer - they may hold enough information to make it actually work, AND... I don't think that technology existed in 2001 for "Buena Vista Social Club"...

Perhaps Frost would consider hiring me, as an Independent, to remix the whole bloody mess in 5.1, delivering both DD and DTS masters. I would certainly be willing....

...and I could even retain and enhance the original stereo mixes for the 'purists'.

Hi. I want to address the Eraserhead compression issue, as I do not have the TP S2 set (and probably won't, with what I've read), and IE as a DVD. bmiller, I don't know what your username was on DL.com, but as you can see, mine has not changed. I am sure we have chatted at one time or another. Greet...

The "Room to Dream" scene was shot at the location of the BBQ scene in Inland Empire, with the same cast, at the same time. Laura was supposed to appear in it, but her agent nixed it when she had that movie out with Naomi.
