Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

The scene with Ben Horne and Beverly Paige listening to the wall sounds was fantastic. I loved their acknowledgement and investigation of the foreboding sound, and I loved the subtext for both characters. Ben, holding back his lust for his young assistant, and Beverly's awkwardness, which ties into...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Couple things I wanted to point out - Everyone thinks the Jerry scene was just comedic relief but could he actually now be missing in the woods? Maybe he turns up after paying a visit to the white lodge?? - The humming could be from Josie as they did pan into the wood but I took it more matter of fa...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

WOW! It wasn't perfect but that was bar none the best episode yet. So good and I really felt some twin peaks vibes in this one! I'll post more in a bit!

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Not sure if he was being matter of fact or not but Michael Horse in that interview said he got to say goodbye to the log lady... I had really hoped we'd see her at least one more time but it looks like that might have been it... Bless her heart she did a tremendous job!

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Blah.Blah. Blah. I can't even believe 'Breaking Bad' discussion has made it on to this forum. TWIN PEAKS HAS NOIR-STYLE STORY TELLING WITH A MUCH DARKER NARRATIVE THAN 'BREAKING BAD'. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE 'BREAKING BAD' ! TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT SHOWS. Um... I never said they were...I was just res...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

BCS this season spent half of a 47-minute episode on Mike locating a tracker inside his gas cap and switching it out for another one . I can't think of any show I've ever watched that is slower-paced than BCS (not that I'm knocking it, it's terrific filmmaking, albeit not quite on the Breaking Bad ...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Like that a few of the other more veteran members on the site agree with the "distance" factor I've been talking about for weeks now. If Lynch somehow is doing this on purpose for a pay off of more quitisential Twin Peaks vibes/music then it will be even better than the original in how he ...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

I suspect most of Gerard's current scenes were intended for MJA. I believe this to be the case. And that's based on more than a guess. While I much prefer TMFAP as a character in Twin Peaks I'm happy for Al Strobel who hadn't acted in 16 years and only once in 25 years so kudos to him for getting t...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

Be interesting to see Philip Gerard turn up as a shoe salesman in TP or Las Vegas at some point.. I'm curious to find out if he even exists anymore or if he died... The spirit helping out Cooper in the black lodge/red room appears to be good in nature and not like Mike. He comes off more like Gerar...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

I could be wrong about this, but I'm just wondering whether the people who have a major problem with slow scenes are people that don't meditate. We all know that David Lynch is really into meditation. We also know how most people these days can't sit still for more than a few seconds without lookin...

Re: DOUGIE RESOLUTION

No, we would, it just wouldn't be the one you wanted or expected. No it wouldn't this isn't Cooper. Let's be real. It's a mindless child like soul in the body and life of a man named Dougie. Again not saying I don't like the characters scenes just fear we won't get Coopers mind back until it's too ...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

One thing I really appreciate about Season 3 is the way Lynch/Frost have developed Frank Truman into his own character separate from Harry. I was initially worried that the Frank character would just be a convenient substitute for the absent Harry, but Robert Forrester's performance (along with the...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

In TSHoTP, though, Carl Rodd is from Twin Peaks - there *is* no Deer Meadow. They appear to have converged, like the lodges. "Two keys, two lodges. Fear opens one, love the other". Even in FWWM, there seems to be some ambiguity about TP and DM. I think it interesting that Deputy Cliff sho...

Re: Part 6 - Don't die (SPOILERS)

One thing I hope they keep in this new show is good or bad lodge spirits in the real world like the Chalfronts or Phillip Gerard or even seniordroolcup.
