Re: Part 9 - This is the chair (SPOILERS)

Overall very good episode. When we heard that cool electric guitar sound right before they went to the Sheriffs station I thought we were getting a James scene as that guitar generally accompanied him but I was fine with it being there. I also really got my hopes up that Josie's face was going to s...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

It's been mentioned already but the girl is probably Sarah Palmer. It's not just the year that makes sense but then you link in Laura, the white horse (who sees that other than Sarah?) and "Gotta light?" which could be Sarah's reason for smoking fifty packs of cigarettes a day. She's also...

Who else expected to see Dougie Milford when we went to New Mexico?

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Any chance we could refrain from going on for 50 pages about who's disappointed or not, and how much? It's getting old with so many interesting things we could discuss. I too thought "white lodge?" when we saw the building on the island but... I dunno. Not what I pictured based on Garland...

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)

Can't tell if that was the worst piece of television I've ever seen in my life or the most innovative if not incredibly, incredibly drawn out. I have no idea. I'm really mad we have to wait two weeks though.. Felt like someone kidnapped me, drugged me with acid and stuck me in a dark closet for an h...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I hate the term fanservice. Especially in regards to this show. Just because a group of people want something does not make it lesser of value and a cheapened low form of storytelling. No. I think when it is a problem is when that is the _only_ reason for a particular story/character choice. Agreed...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Although I've enjoyed most of the scenes with the original TP cast, we haven't exactly learned much about them. What have they been up to for the past 25 years? Are Ed, Norma, and Nadine still stuck in the world's most devastating love triangle? What exactly is Harry sick with? Is Becky Shelly's da...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Much needed post. Not only is "droolcoop" an insult to Cooper's struggle, but it's an insult to anyone with cognitive challenges. Let's not get all PC now.. Clearly it's a throwback to SeniorDroolCup a nickname given to the waiter in the original by Albert and has since been adapted an en...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

i'm starting to get a little bit annoyed / tired reading "droolcoop" this is the real coop mate, he's gone through hell and back and he's all the more heroic for that. watch what he ends up doing y'll all feel stupid for ever calling him "droolcoop" he's actually a f badass so f...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

I wish The Return was structured like this. For example, we follow Cooper's return to himself in the first 8 episodes or whatever. Then in the next 8 we follow Laura's return. Eventually they both meet again around episode 16 and then the final two episodes are the climax and resolution. This is st...

Re: Part 7 - There's a body all right (SPOILERS)

Josie's best scene was the blackmail head-to-head with Ben, that was the closest to the real Josie we saw. Although, as they speculate after her death, I'm not sure even she knew who the real Josie was at a certain point. I thought the best scene was with Hank Jennings at the end of Season 1. Both ...
