Re: TP Season 1 & FWWM soundtracks set for new vinyl reissue
Doesn't seem like any announcements were made regarding Twin Peaks at Mondo-Con. A user on their forums says the vinyl reissues are set for release in February '15, but I have no way of confirming that. I've been following them on social media and read several articles about other titles they DID an...

I know it can be hard to tell if these cards are legit are not, but looks like a very interesting auction. No David Lynch card.

Re: Lynch Film Retrospective in Philadelphia Sept/Oct
Thanks. I got used to watching the MK2 transfer and the reds are much more saturated in that one, but then in the Missing Pieces Red Room scenes they look more like the MK2 than the new transfer. Enjoy the rest of the screenings. Cheers. I agree. The reds a much more muted throughout in the film pr...

In his early years in LA, David would go to Bob's Big Boy every day and have a chocolate malt.FauxOwl wrote:I'm not getting the connection between "Chocolate Malted" and Lynch. I'm sure I will slap my forehead when someone explains it.

I didn't notice any difference. The only parts that really jumped out at me as looking different were the opening sequences with Chet.Fernanda wrote:Did you notice if the color in the Red Room scene at the end matches the BD transfer?

Re: Rumored Blu-Ray Release
Well, I wouldn't say confirmed, but the other two titles in that blurb, the new edition of Time Bandits and La Dolce Vita are both officially announced for December and October respectively.Jerry Horne wrote:Confirmed.

Re: Lynch Film Retrospective in Philadelphia Sept/Oct
It was a real dream come true to see Fire Walk With Me on the big screen last night. The print was very good - better than Lost Highway but not as good as Eraserhead which remains the best looking of the bunch. The picture was excellent throughout (save for some bad scratches just as we move into La...

I'll post an update on Fire Walk With Me in the morning, but for now I wanted to share this just released video of David walking through the exhibit.

Re: Twin Peaks and Lynch donughts on the menu in Philadelphi
I was able to sample all but the coffee flavor at the opening of the art show. The chocolate malted was amazing, with cherry pie coming in a very close second. I didn't care for the blue velvet - it was overly sweet and had no identifiable flavor (It wasn't vanilla, it wasn't blueberry...I dunno.)

Re: Lynch Film Retrospective in Philadelphia Sept/Oct
One small thing I forgot to mention. I had a minor celebrity sighting at the exhibit. As I was headed towards the entrance to "Six Figures Getting Sick," out from the screening room comes none other than Frederick Elmes, Lynch's DP on "Eraserhead," "Dune," "Blue Ve...

Re: Lynch Film Retrospective in Philadelphia Sept/Oct
Thanks very much, mb3, I'm enjoying writing them. Friday was another big night. First, let me say that if you can in any way get to Philadelphia before the exhibit closes in January, do so. It is absolutely stunning. This is the second exhibit I have seen of his works and it blows the other one out ...

Re: Lynch Film Retrospective in Philadelphia Sept/Oct
Well, last night was the big night - my first time seeing David in person. He was just fantastic. He seemed very at ease and happy to be there. His hair is utterly amazing in person. A golden wave a top of grey sea. There were lots of people taking video, so I'm sure that the entire conversation wil...

One Dog Bark
Because it is of interest to many here, I thought I should mention that last night at his talk in Philadelphia, David confirmed that the track "One Dog Bark" that appears in The Missing Pieces is from The Thought Gang album. (An audience member asked him if it was a newly recorded song) I ...

Twin Peaks and Lynch donughts on the menu in Philadelphia
Philadelphia continues to go Lynch crazy this month. The absolutely amazing Federal Donuts has just announced that they've created four new donut flavors for the opening of the Lynch art exhibit, and will put them on their regular menu starting September 13. The flavors are: * Good Coffee * Cherry P...
